What do you think????

What do you think????

I found some invitations I LOVE!!

BUT- They are $2k (for 150 invites)

Am I crazy to even contemplate this...?? I haven't seen a single invitation that I thought totally fit me and our wedding 'theme' if you will... and then I saw these ...

Check 'em out!

What do you think!? I have no idea what's average price...

These are NOT in my budget- Fh and I didn't really have a budget on this.... we would really have to pull something together and its really just me that wants them... FH thinks Im crazy to spend this much!

MY OPINION - When I was looking at invitations I had to be reasonable because this is paper that 95% of the people who receive them are going to throw out - But If you have the money to do it - I say go for it. 2k for invitations was completely out of my budget and I wanted to spend more money on photographer, videographer - not paper!!

But they are beautiful

I say if you love them and you have the money then go for it! They are absolutely gorgeous!

They are nice but I am sure you can have someone else make them for much less.
I spend a lot on my invites and I had several people lose them. No one really cares more about the invite than the bride.

It depends on how important they are to you and your budget. . . my invitations cost me 650 for 150 i figure most people will write down the date on their calendar and then throw away the invitation so i didnt want to spend a lot on it . . plus my parents are paying for the wedding so I didnt want to make them broke. . . . . . . but if the invitations are important to you then do it. . . you should get what you want ya know this happens but once. . . . .

I have no idea but is it in your budget? think about other things that you can do with 2k! no one really notices the invites (unless they are as gorgeous as that!) JMO

Yes, those are BEAUTIFUL invitations, but I think that is A LOT of money to be spending on invitations. Especially when they get thrown out anyways. Even if I HAD 2K to spend on invites, I just don't think I would........JMO though

Can these be done DIY? They look pretty easy to me........just the velvet ribbon and a nice brooch thingy You never know.....someone might be able to make them for you for a reasonable price......

But in the end, it's your budget and your vision, so whatever makes you happy is the most important thing

I do think thats A LOT of $$ for invites...although they are very pretty. But I do think you can get them cheaper...and still beautiful. Check out pippy sweets. She does great work.

they are beautiful!! and I can totally relate since we had a hard time picking out invites too -- we like nothing we saw in books, and maybe the 1 or 2 we did were around $2,000. we couldn't bring ourselves to spend that much either. it was a tough choice and went with smashing cards for a custom look at less $$. I would see it you could create the look you want by making it a DIY project.

WHOOOOA i totally thought I spent too much and I didnt even break 1k
I voted the 3rd option. Im SURE you will find something like that for less... My friend owns an invite store- Just Announce It in Oceanside. Maybe try asking her?

Re: What do you think????

They are gorgeous BUT I know that you could do it yourself. And not even that entire invite. I know for a fact that you can get that nice ribbon and that round jewelled clasp at WALMART !!! I swear it looks great just like these invites do. SO what I suggest is getting the invites printed from someone that is the same shape and size you see here... and then get the ribbon and clasps from Walmart and put them on yourself. I am sure it will be way less than 2k. And it will still be beautiful. HTH

Re: What do you think????

I keep falling in love with invites that are in that price range, but I can't in good faith do it. As one poster said, a lot of people will throw them away.
Plus, that price is just for invites. There's postage and other stationery (programs, ceremony, thank yous--if you're doing all that) to consider too.

I would look for a cheaper option. Maybe someone can do a knock-off for you?

ETA: Just noticed it comes in a box. I would imagine that would be a fortune to mail.

Those are beautiful but too expensive. We got our invitations at Jean M. They have many of their invitations with the ribbon. We love ours they are so beautiful. They have an excellent web site where you can create your invitiation. You can use any color that they have. They also have excellent customer service on-line. I hope that I helped you out. Best Wishes.

Re: What do you think????

they're definitely VERY beautiful! honestly... we had no real budget for invitations, but we decided to go with inexpensive ones (just under $600 for 160 6x6 invitations, 160 response cards with address printed on them, 160 inner and outer envelopes -- with lining for the inner envelopes... and thermography printing) .....

like previous posters have mentioned, as GORGEOUS as they are, most people will probably throw them away!

if you think it's worth it... then go for it! but just remember that in all likelihood (i'm sure you will get TONS of compliments) but you'll probably care the most about them, and most people will toss them!

They are gorgeous, but I couldn't bring myself to spend over $2,000 on invitations. I really think that you can get them made for cheaper.

Re: What do you think????

If you have a $200K budget, I'd say get the $2K invites. But you could get someone to make those for cheaper, they're not that unique. I've seen some that were totally amazing and worth the price: engraved, in boxes, with die cuts, in a velvet bag, some amazing things. But those? Nah. Find someone who does custom stuff and say you want that but for a quarter of the price, see what they can come up with. The only reason why those are so expensive is that they're on silk cardstock. Believe me, NO ONE will notice that. Get them priced for cheaper.

They're hot!!!! But you can TOTALLY get those for cheaper.

You can even DIY them! Just buy white or ecru cardstock, set the margin in a few inches, type out the info in whatever colors you want.

Then buy the ribbon and the crystal buckle and put it on.
