What I would give for a 3 percent rqaise! I just got a cost of living raise of 1.1 %.....WHY BOTHER?? My cost of living has gone up much more than that! LOoking for a new job, it its not that easy...

Well I am underpaid because I work for a start up company. My manager slipped to me that I am getting over a 10% raise. SO I guess that is a good thing

I think I got a high raise because I started out low, and my raise after the first year was pathetic. Then they had me work for an attorney whose secretary had left, and they had had three other temps who worked there after where it did not work out. I worked out because I'm a really fast worker, so they must realize that if I leave because I feel I can do better elsewhere, then they're going to be screwed trying to find someone to deal with that desk.

No increases this year ... CH 11 will do that I guess. (Thank you very much for penalizing me for sticking it out).
Merit increases used to be up to 12%, but employees who were rated 'meets (objectives)' were between 3-6%.

The first year i was with my company, I got a 9.5% raise and ever since then the highest for me has been 1.6% which is one of the higher raises for my group. Sad

I have gotten over 10% every year. I dont know if thats the standard here though. We get our raises in July so I am curious as to what this year will bring!

Our merit increases (I've been with current employer 3 yrs) used to be b/w 4.5-6%, now HR have lowered them this yr due to soft economy and lower than expected company performance to 2-3.5%...... stinks!

my old firms range was 3-5%. This is my first full year at this firm, and I'm expecting the same.
I haven't gotten more than 5% in a Loooong time ... I don't expect to this year, either!
With the job market the way it is, I really do not want to complain. I just feel lucky that I'm getting ANY raise , every little bit will help especially this year
