Re: What does everyone do for a living???
I'm currently unemployed. But I started out in retail as an Assistant Buyer at Century 21 Dept stores after doing an internship there (went to F.I.T.) Worked there for about 3 years (in Domestics/Bedding/Linens), then worked for Hills Dept Stores (like a K-mart type store) and was in Lingerie (brought home LIFETIME SUPPLIES of bras and panties - it was fun choosing styles for the next season, except my boss was the NASTIEST B%%! ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH, she made me LEAVE RETAIL. Then I wanted to enter the world of I.T. (INformation Technology, the computer field !) and I got a job in Project Management (I just went on an interview for Exec asst, and my 'boss' liked me
and offered me a Junior PM position. I then went on and got a PM position there. It was an investment firm. From there, I moved out here (and got married) so I quit (even tho I LOVED ITTT) their main office that I was working in is in White Plains, so that commute didnt appeal to me from Suffolk ! Out here I worked for the CHS hospitals (Catholic Health Services - St Cath, Mercy, Good Sam, St Charlies etc) I was a PM in a project where we put in all new computers and networked all the hospitals. I didnt do technical work, I managed the techies, worked with the Doctors and hospital staff on what software they needed etc. That was just for 6 months, it was on a consultant basis... Company was run like a ZOO (CHS)... I also temped at Arrow (my boss from that first PM job now works there, so she can be closer to home, and got me to temp there when I moved out here, as an interim thing, while I looked. shes the best...thats about it. I should have just pasted my resume !! LOL.
and now i'm a full time MOM !! and hoping to finish up a Masters in Education to teach in a couple of years !

Re: What does everyone do for a living???
I'm in Internal Audit for a large Bank. I do Project Management Risk Consulting for the bank.I'm a CPA but have concentrated my career around IT Consulting so I don't use it.
I like what I do but it's not very exciting. I get to do some travel so that's good as long as it's not too much.

Re: What does everyone do for a living???
I am currently a technology instructor. I teach people (normal ones like you) how to use various software programs. Everything from desktop applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint, to all the big web design programs like Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Flash, and also image editing software like Photoshop, etc.The list is endless of the different programs I work with. It is fun that I get to do different things all the time, but it is ALOT to remember when you switch between them so much.
P.S. If anyone's company is looking for a trainer message me !!!!!! LOL LOL
