..for in your relationsip when it comes to personal things. Does he pay for you to get your hair done, nails, clothes etc? Or are u all independent ladies who do it yourself?
MY FH used to give me money to get my hair done and nails done, but then our relationship goals changed and buying a house was his main priority for the both of us. So all of the extras got taken away.

I support myself. When we go out to eat/drink he will usually pay, but I always offer cash towards the bill or for the tip.
ETA: After we are married and live together, we will combine bank accounts.

He offers to pay for some things, but I don't take him up on it. I'd rather pay my own way for things like that.

You girls rock. You go ahead with your bad selves. Its good to see so many independent women. I do mostly everything on my own now too. With so many things going on and FH taking care of so much I feel bad taking anything from him.

He pays his bills and I pay mine (school loans, car, insurnace, personal loan). He is co-signer on my car.
But all the extras we don't really have a system. Who ever has the cash and/or debit card. Never have any money issues. Never once fought over money.

He pays for dinner when we go out, sometimes I'll pay or leave the tip.
He used to refill the Starbucks gift card he had gotten me every month for me, but I tolf him to stop now, and to put that money towards his savings.
HE will buy me things sometimes like perume or something, but thats about it.

all of my extras are my own however sometimes he will offer.
he pays for dinner on saturday nights and sometimes during the week in excahnge for me cooking dinner during the week.
bills are joint and our own personal things (cars, ez pass, gas, etc) are in our own accounts.
this works great!

is the expression on my face when i read that he used to pay for all your extras. My fiance never has, and i can not imagine him ever doing it unless of course he hits lotto...i pay for everything of mine, and half the bills. once in a blue moon he'll get me something, but same goes for me getting HIM something...we are so even. but i like it this way too.

ditto. i pay all my own bills, buy all my own stuff, etc, but he will pay for dinner usually (sometimes I make him let me pay :) )

I pay my bills and he pays his. We split the rent, he pays Cable and electric and I do the food shopping. We're on our own for any 'extras'. Tho when we go out to dinner or to do something he pays. That doesn't happen very often bc we're always tight on $$ but it feels good to be traditional sometimes.

I pay my own bills and extras, but he usually picks up the tab when we go out to eat or something. Ever now and then, I'll pick up the tab though.
Either way, we have a joint account we both contribute to, and sometimes, if I put a lot of deposits down for wedding stuff or I'm just running a little short he'd help me out, so I don't have to get hit with finance charges or something.

he pays the rent, I pay for food, cable, phone, electric
I pay for my clothes ( expect for a treat from him like a new LV or Gucci bag- etc) car, insurance, bill
he pays for dinner, take out food- drinks when we go out- he pays for trips when we go away
if I needed money - he would give it to be with out having to pay him back- if I give him money- he pays me back
he makes WAY more money then me- but I do ok myself

Wow, I guess we are the only ones that completely 100% share money. We have been together for 4 years and have been sharing our money and bank accounts for 2 years. We never have any fights about money. I do all the bill paying and FH is appreciative I take the time to do so b/c he would not.
I really like that we share money. To me it makes us feel like a family.

I never asked for anything though it was always something he wanted to do. Now i do mostly all of that on my own, which i dont mind doing at all. Its good to be independent.
