What does FH pay...

We both make the same amount of money, which is fairly little. We split rent, groceries, etc down the middle. Eating out we also split fairly evenly although sometimes I'll buy and sometimes he will. For our own stuff, we pay for that ourselves. We only have his car, and he pays for servicing and most of the gas, but I try to remember to pay for gas some of the time. I'll pay half for any roadtrips we do.

ETA: that goes for pets too: I pay for my bird supplies, he pays for his fish supplies, and we both pay for the cat supplies

I am guilty of this too! I have to say that I am extremly spoiled by Fh!!!

I did everything on my own before I met him. And I was fine. I was totally independent!!!

But since we have been together he has not let me pay for anything.

Wow, I guess we are the only ones that completely 100% share money. We have been together for 4 years and have been sharing our money and bank accounts for 2 years. We never have any fights about money. I do all the bill paying and FH is appreciative I take the time to do so b/c he would not.

I really like that we share money. To me it makes us feel like a family.

we share it all too...i dont knwo whats mine or his or even what money comes in..we just know its there and it gets paid for....i love sharing everything, kinda old fashioned, but very us.

When we first starting dating FH paid for everything we did together.

Now we have a system that works for us.

FH makes really good money and I make good money.

About 6 months before we got engaged we started this, and it works well for both of us.

I pay all the bills car payments, cell phones, his school bills, etc (whatever monthly bills we have). I also buy any necessities he needs including clothes. I buy all the family gifts, birthdays, holidays. If I am ever short he gives me the money with no lip and I am free to spend the rest (but since the wedding I have been saving).

He saves his money for our house, whenever that is that we get it.

Now that we are planning a wedding I try to put as much money away in our account, while he gives me the desposits for everything.

It seems to be working and I hope it does!

that's my moms motto. her little part time job, pays for so much. its unbelievable how far she gets with it. since my apartment is technically mine, i pay the rent. he pays everything his own way and i pay mine. he gives me a little money towards groceries, but it doesnt nearly cover the cost. we are trying to save as much as we can, but its really hard.

Since we just bought a house together...we decided to just put all of our money into one account. Therefore when the bills come, we just pay them from that account. So we both pay for everything!

same here except FH does all the bills because I can't be bothered!

well we live together so he pay the morgage on the house and I pay all the other Bills

I pay my own bills and for his motorcycle & motorcycle insurance (because they are in my name).

I make more.

We split the rent and everything else besides electric. He pays that. He pays everytime we go to dinner but if I have the extra money I treat him. He gives me money to get my hair done and he offers to pay my credit card bills but I only took him up on that once.
Next month we're going to Hawaii. The tickets were free throuhg my job, I paid for all the hotels, he's bringing all the spending money. We basically share everything. We're a team. If he needs something from me, I'm there and same vice versa.

Right now, I bank most of my paycheck into with the exception of some money that goes into paying our cell phone bill, my student loan, and my extras. If I ever run low FH gives me my $ that he has... He has a lot more bills and a daughter so most of his money goes to his bills and things he needs. Any extras go to me or to our savings account. Side job $ he has, goes straight to our savings....

I pay for ever bill I have, plus our cell phone bill, our furniture bill, the ezpass and i'm paying for the whole wedding so far. the only thing he pays for that includes the two of us is the cable.

i make a lot more than him as of right now so i'm the one that has to take charge of the bills for now.

so needless to say, i've been super stressed lately.

I pay for my extras

We pay our own bills and if it comes to having an extra and one or the other doesn't have it the other will help out sometimes.

Since we just bought a house me and FH sat down and have decided to do it liek this:

He pays the mortgage on both homes. (we have one investmt. home), and gas for the car.


I will pay the utilities bills on both homes and groceries.

I think this is very fair for the both of us.
