..for in your relationsip when it comes to personal things. Does he pay for you to get your hair done, nails, clothes etc? Or are u all independent ladies who do it yourself?
MY FH used to give me money to get my hair done and nails done, but then our relationship goals changed and buying a house was his main priority for the both of us. So all of the extras got taken away.

Wow, I guess we are the only ones that completely 100% share money. We have been together for 4 years and have been sharing our money and bank accounts for 2 years. We never have any fights about money. I do all the bill paying and FH is appreciative I take the time to do so b/c he would not.
I really like that we share money. To me it makes us feel like a family.
Me and FH have had a joint bank account since we started going out, like 3 years ago. I pay for the car insurance, and our investment home utility bills and contribute to our savings monthly. He pays the rent for his mom's house, the mortgage on our invstmt home, food bills, etc. Sometimes i think he handles way to much. When i offer to help more sometimes he doesnt want to take it.

we are weird...very independent but we do pay certain things together, like the car. he makes more than I do, but I have less expenses, so it kinds works out. if we need money, we lend and pay each other back. if we eat out on the cheap, usually I will pay, if we go big time, usually he will pay. we 'treat' each other to stuff, though he is better at spontaneous gift giving than I am.
when we first started dating, we were both in college and probably making about $6 an hour at Haagen Dazs....for the first few weeks he paid for everything...then one morning I DEMANDED he let me pay for our bagels...it was all down hill from there!

Pretty much right now we each pay our own bills but when we are together he pays for everything.
I save way more money than him for the wedding but he has his kids to pay for (he has custody and biomom doesn't give him a cent).
He does treat me to hair appt and mani/pedi appts since he knows I wouldn't do it on my own.

since we bought a house all the money is ours...so i guess we both pay for our extras... we give ourselves a certain amount of $$$ per month and we do as we please with it, gas, get hair done, shopping, save it, whatever comes up that we need or want... but when we were dating i would pay for my own hair and nails..etc...

We each pay our own bills. We split all the utilities, rent, etc. 50/50. Food shopping, eating out, going out, stuff for our dogs we 'roughly' split. I pay sometimes and he pays sometimes. If he asks me out on a 'date', he pays. If I ask him out on a 'date', I'll pay. I probably all comes out as a wash. Anything I do for me (like getting my hair done, getting a massage, etc.), I pay. He'd have a heart attack if he know what I dropped when I get a cut and color...... If he wants a new x-box game, he pays.
As far as wedding stuff goes, I've been paying more than he has, but I also make significantly more money than he does.
But, in 110 days, we'll be married and it'll all just be 'ours'.

I pay for my own things and on occasion he treats me to stuff like that-nails, clothes....When we get married all of our money will be the same though.....

i pay my bills and he pays his bills, but he does pay our rent and food :) he makes twice as much as me (i work fulltime and go to school, but he still makes way more). i do put 100 away a week for the wedding, but he'll put in chunks of $ every few weeks. when we go out either one of us will pay, depending on which one of has more $ in our account at the time. over all, we are both pretty poor lol but we are trying. ~lacey

when it comes to stuff for me, I always buy (except a few weeks ago he bought me a jewelry armoire!) but i usually pay for a lot of stuff for him b/c I make more $$$ than him right now! which is ok, b/c I want to be a stay-at-home mom one day, so he'll be the breadwinner!

Since we just bought a house together...we decided to just put all of our money into one account. Therefore when the bills come, we just pay them from that account. So we both pay for everything!

FH makes significantly more money than I do. With that said, I pay my own bills, and we split the rent 50/50. He pays the utilities and for groceries. He pasy every time we go out to eat. He also pays for my mani/pedi and my hair color and cuts. It makes him happy to do it! I think it's easier for him to swallow paying for this wedding by paying for my extras, which frees up more of my money that goes to the wedding. I see it as even!
