my nephew (who most of you know by now is staying with us while his mom parties her life away) well I just finished pottytraining him and he is doing great UNTIL his Mom calls ...he talks to her and then hands me the phone and poops and pees right there and then he screams and cries
so I clean him and hug him and tell him its ok and things are fine.....my SIL takes him for a sleepover at her house and she told me he talked to his mom and then pooped in his pants right after that
Its like she scared the sh*t right out of him literally could that be possible???

Re: what does this mean and is it a coincidence?
I feel so bad for him. Def something about talking to her is scaring him and making him regress. It might just be the fact the he thinks he might go back to living with her that is scaring him. I would definitely talk to the pediatrician and see what they recommend. They should be able to lead you in the right direction with getting him help.

That is so horrible. Thank god he has you. I think you should speak with a lawyer right away and get some sort of temporary custody arrangement otherwise she could show up and take him. Then god knows what could happen to him.

Re: what does this mean and is it a coincidence?
Thank you for all the advice and support! DH and I have to discuss how far we are going to go to help him....I truly believe its best to have a child with his own mother if possible but in this case I just do not see that happening ...we were in the process of finishing the upstairs part of our house so that my daughters can each have their own room and then I can have a computer room (computer is in our living room) but now we are making that room into a room for my nephew His mom called my SIL and said that she doesnt know what she will do with him when he starts kindergarten in August because it is only 2 1/2 hours a day so this leads me to believe that he will be staying for school so we have to take some kind of legal action

I agree with everyone else....
I think getting him into counseling and evaluated for service is the immediate thing to do. Since he is 4 years old, he will get evaluated for free through the school district. You will have to contact them to set up an evaluation, but he may be eligible for all sorts of free services. I would also contact a lawyer too.
Good luck with everything... if you have any questions about the evaluation process you can FM me... I worked in the preschool special ed area for 4 years.
