What factors did you consider when deciding to TTC?

I have been thinking - and this is for the future, not now -

but what were the Major factors?

money?
stay at home mom or working mom?
location (house /apt)

We decided that we'd be OTL after we got married and if it happened it would be a blessing that was meant to be.

We were already settled in terms of the house and our finances. We've both travelled. The prospect of having a child, to be honest, freaked both of us out. But in the end we figured we couldn't let fear be the thing that held us back. We weren't getting any younger and we knew that the main reason for us getting married and buying this house was because we were ready to settle down and start a family. It was just 'time'

We had th ehouse, but we wanyed to enjoy our lives as a couple for a few years, and I think we are ready EMOTIONALLY, and finacially.

Everything else is up to God. There can never be enough money, there will never be the 'perfect' time etc

The factor for us in trying sooner than later is that my stepfather has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We don't know know what the future will bring and we want to our children to be able to know and love this wonderful man!!
So if we are going to have children sooner than we thought...hey, I think we are ready!

I agree with Jennbaby.
There will never be enough money, or the perfect time. As long as we're blessed with children, healthy children, that's more than I can ever ask for.

Since DH and I have been living together for 4 years before we got married, it seemed like the next appropriate step... we're never going to have enough money or time as a matter of fact... but you make do.

I know there is never a perfect time when having a child. However if I can control it I would like to wait a little while longer (get settled in the house, career etc). We are also not avoiding TTC either. So my timing is up to God too.

We're not ttc now... We'll be married 2 yrs in February. We're not ttc basically because we are not ready. Why? Well I wonder sometimes. We are waiting for the perfect time - which we both know doesn't really exist. I know we'd like to save more money. Honestly we're both not emotionally ready for the responsibilities. I hope we will soon though...we both adore children!

we are both ready mentally...but we have just made a huge lifestyle change moving across the country...so we do have to wait to be financially ready...when DH gets a raise (which looks good) or I get a job (which after today looks good as well)...yes...you may never be financially ready, but we still need a few months to see where the road is taking us....
