our church would not allow ANYTHING to be throw!

we did rice - i like the tradition of it
michaels sells heart shaped rice and we jsut wrapped them up in tulle

plain ol rice comes out great in pictures too --- except that it STICKS to ya! it was in my hair all night!

we made the petal cones and we used real petals-in shades of pink and white-our florist filled the cones-we gave them to her the week of the wedding

they have special designer wedding rice thats not really rice, it breaks when you step on it and is not harmful to birds, i don't think anyone throws regular rice anymore
