KarenK- that's simply beautiful.

Mine is from my friend Donna. A little backround first - I first met her through an ex-bf at the hospital when her 4 month old son started having seizures. We became good friends that extended well beyond my relationship with the ex. The first 4 - 5 years of her sons life he was forever in the hopital for emergencies and extensive testing that would sometimes last 4-7 days. Not thinking anything of it, I always went to see them.

We were out to dinner around one night last year and she told me that she would never have been able to get through those awful years with out me. That I was there for her more then most family and that she is reminded of that whenever she looks at her son.

I was bawling when she said that.

I have been told by my friends that they wouldn't know what to do without me and that I'm the nicest girl they have met (well I DON'T necessarily agree with that one). See I'm the person that if they are upset, in trouble, or need an ear I'm am ALWAYS there to help them out and they know they can call me 3am and I will talk to them or come over etc. The problem - I''m often too nice that I have been told I need to be more of a b***h. and tell some of the creeps off more often instead of just ignoring them to keep the peace

Oh the best was that I was told I can't go to court b/c I not sneaky enough (not sure if that is a compliment of not though

Someone told me that I am a voice of reason. I was touched becuase usually people tell me that I am a loud mouth!

I think the best physical compliment I ever got was when Keith and I walked into a bar a few months ago and this guy who was right inside the door looked at me, then nodded to Keith and said 'Congratulations, Buddy, nice job.' It was the most unoffensive physical compliment I ever got from a stranger.

I think people are on crack when they give me compliments on physical features.

My mom recently gave me a pretty good compliment. We now work together, so I guess she sees me differently. She told me, 'Ya' know, before I was biased and only saw you as my daughter...but now seeing you at work, I can see why Kevin is marrying you.' Then she explained that she felt I carried myself well and was well-liked by our coworkers. (Co-workers often tell her complimentary things about me. I think they're just s-u-c-king up b/c she's the boss. )

I have two. When I first met FH, he wrote a story about us which I actually just found as I was cleaning out stuff last night. It's cheesy, but I love it and it was very sweet.

The other was last Valentines day my best friend for the last 13 years sent me a card that was really beautiful, about how we are like sisters (we have the same last name so all through high school we used to tell people we were cousins!)

Best compliment I can think of was when DH removed my veil from my face and said I looked beautiful. I cried so hard
