What is the 'grossest' food you eat?

Original post by BriBri529

There are some foods that people just perceive to be gross and thing others that eat them are gross for eating them.

What food(s) do you eat that many people perceive as gross?

What foods do YOU think are gross?

I eat liverwurst, caponata and also love blue cheese and blue cheese dressing (of course I do not eat them together . . .)

Foods that I think are gross are sushi, raw clams/oysters, and any 'tartare' dish (any raw form of meat or fish grosses me out . . .)

I love Scrapple.

It's not common around here, but in Pennsylvania and Delaware it's a regular breakfast meat in diners with the bacon and sausage.

And before you ask...it's pretty much what it sounds like. Scraps of pig parts - boiled, ground leftover pig scraps with cornmeal and spices thrown in.

It sounds gross, but it is sooooo yummy. I have to have it whenever I visit my parents!!

OMG, you just gave me a horrible flashback to college (delaware) where I always had to specify at breakfast- no scrapple! Ugh, imagine my surprise freshmen year.

What year did you go to Delaware? About half my graduating class went there - 1993-1997. And my sister was there from 1999-2002.

I was there from 1998-2002. I'd go back tomorrow if I could!
