The way he proposed..it should of been on TLC's show 'The Proposal'

It was that great!!

Dh is just a romantic guy in general...and I love him tp pieces..

Apart from the proposal and everything surrounding the wedding, every day, since we started dating, he leaves me a voice mail message on my cell, each time telling me a different reason why he loves me

his proposal was so romantic and sweet that I think it would be nearly impossible for him to top but he is so sweet all the time...sends me flowers at work ALL the time just because and always has surprises for me...whether its dinner when I have had a bad day or movies from blockbuster....he's great!

I'm so glad everyone is posting. I was just feeling that on these boards yesterday and today there were a few little 'drama sessions' starting to appear and I felt like we all needed to remember why we are here. It's about the love we all have for our FH's and planning one of the best day of our lives.

Each and every one of us no matter where we come from, what religion, race, or how much money we have are individuals with our own beliefs. We shouldn't preach to each other. Words can be hurtful and can last a lifetime. It's the holiday season. It's a time for celebration, not for fighting. Sometimes I feel that we get so caught up in our everyday lives that we forget what is truly important. There are so many horrific things going on in the world today we don't need to cause each other more pain on a wedding website. I hope everyone on this board has a wonderful holiday season and continues to plan the best wedding of their lives (If you haven't already done so)!!!

the sweetest thing he ever did would be... when we had been dating about 8 months, my dad got diagnosed with cancer. dad and mom own their own business- a garden center, which is pretty physical work. so, in addition to the whole thing of dad having cancer, we were also worried abotu the business and how to keep it going during his treatments. the night we found out, i called (now) DH and told him. he drove 2 hours at like 11 at night to come down and moved into my parents basement for like a week and worked everyday for them till things settled down a little bit. it REALLY showed that he didn't just care about me, but my family,too.....

luckily, dads doing fine almost 4 years later

My DH isn't really that romantic but last week was our one month wedding anniversary and he had 2 dozen roses
delivered to my job. I was soooo suprised.

One Friday as I was leaving work there was a strtch limo waiting next to my car he got out had a glass of champagne in his hand. He told me to get in and we went to AC for the weekend. He even packed a small overnight bag for me.

A couple of days before he proposed I had a really awful day. I was pretty much in tears and was completely stressing. I came home to find a nice hot bath waiting for me, with bubbles and bath beads and everything. While i soaked away my troubles he made me dinner. He told me later that he wanted to propose that night because i was so miserable and he knew it would cheer me up, but he already had the ring engraved with our actual engagement date, so he did that instead.

When FH and I first met, he would write me a poem everyday while he was at work, and bring them to me at night. Although I dont get poems everyday anymore, every once in awhile he will write one and leave it for me in the morning after he leaves for work.

Just as we were about to become engaged, we were on the verge of losing my father. We had been concerned that he wouldnt live long enough to see or know about the ring once I got it. My mother was about to allow a DNR to be put in place for him and we wanted to tell Dad even though he wasn't conscious or with any cognitive ability. So, FH and I went to his cubicle in ICU and FH held my hand, while I held my father's in the other, looked at his face and told him that we were getting married. He said not to worry about his baby because I would be HIS baby now and he would take care of me. It was one of the most incredible things FH did for me. I will NEVER ever forget how FH was my rock during the most incredibly difficult time in my life.

That is beautiful and truly touching. It's great to have such a wonderful man like that in your life. You are so blessed.

my luv is really sweet :) One of the most romantic things he did was send me roses completly out of the blue after 3 dates! I was so shocked, no had ever done that for me :)
When he proposed he took me to Strawberry Fields in NYC, and kneeled on the Imagine memorial and asked me to marry him. It just meant so much, later on he took me to Tarven on the Green!
One last thing, on silly thing that means alot to me, I really dont quite no why, but he brought me an umbrella! the day before I was so soaked from walking around school in the rain, so the next day I found a umbrella waiting for me ! I was so taken off guard that someone would actully think of me that much, it meant so much! :D
