what one registry item would you tell the rest of us to add?

Original post by bluegreen08

what one registry item would you tell the rest of us to add? Where can you find it? How much is it? Why do you recommend it?

You should add: Krups Toaster Oven
You can find it: BBB
It costs: $199 (but you can take 20% off)
I recommend it because: It's big, works really well, and you can BAKE things in it without needing to wait for it to preheat! I use this instead of my oven for anything small enough to fit in it -- it's the best thing ever. It also comes with these great tongs that are perfect for pulling out the rack because they have a small hook at the end.

Edit: I still need to add to our registry... so I'm going to take advantage of this thread

haha i actually added the aero bed.. the way i see it, we'll be in a one bedroom apt. and if we have to give up our room to guests, i didn't want to end up on the floor.. it's about 399 but it's always on sale at macy's for like 249

I have the Queen Aero bed on mine as well. DId you register for the one that is the height of a normal bed? That's the one I put down.

yes, that's the one!!

When I saw they had it, I scanned it! We've gone through 3 Coleman beds from Target. They are awful!

really?? i hope this one is good!! well, not sure if anyone would buy it for us but if anyone does, i hope it's good!! b/c it says no return to store

I've slept on one 2 years in a row at my friend's condo in VT. It sprung a leak, but that's because of how my friend's MIL stores it. It's great! So comfortable and good for nookie!

-Dyson (any model they all are great)
- wooden tongs (to pull the toast out of the toaster instead of sticking the fork in to get it out.)
- a wet/dry vaccuum ( not weird, you may never know when you may need to pick up water)
-flashlights
-hamilton beach brew station 1 cup at a time.

Keurig one cup coffee maker

You can find it at: BB&B, Linens and things, etc.

Cost: This one is $200, but they range from $150-$300, depending on what kind you are looking for.

Tassimo is another brand of 1-cup coffee makers, but Keurig is better.

I reccommend it for anyone who wants to make 1 quick cup of coffee whether running out the door or when you need a pick me up after work... so you don't have to make a whole big pot just for yourself.

Great ideas!! I copied a few of your posts into a word doc already, which I am saving as 'must have registry items.'

I registered online for a FEW things - I need to go to the stores and actually do the big stuff - but I registered for those allergy proof pillow cases and mattress covers ... wish I could just get them now but I have to save save save .... but I can't wait to have them and now that the dust mites won't get me!!!!!

which one did you get? we made a giant thing of vegetable soup last week and squeezed it into the crock pot because our biggest pot wasn't nearly big enough. i registered for a 12 Q one from BBB's website but maybe we should go with 16?

Also, can someone please tell me what pots/pans are best? we have a middle of the road cuisinart set (from BBB) but I want 1-2 metal skillets (not non-stick) for sauteeing etc. no idea what brand to get.
