We sent out the invitations on July 28th. Fh's godmother in oklahoma never received hers. She also never received the invitation to the bridal shower. Well word got back to us that she is VERY offended by this. Being the OC person that I am, Im 100% certain we sent her an invitation. I also spoke with my sister who confirmed she also sent her an invitation. So now what do I do? Send her another invitation with a return receipt or just let it go? We are certain she will not attend the wedding.

I would if you have enough extra invitations to spare. It will make you look nice and seem like you are making that extra effort to include her. Maybe she just likes to make things up and have something to complain about.......if that is the case, then you have the return receipt for proof, and she really can't say anything.
Why do people like to be difficult?

Re: What should I do?
Supposedly I was sent an invitation to a cousins wedding and never got it. They said they sent it another time and I still didn't get it. I guess it's possible to not get it. Send another one return receipt or Fedex. Then she has nothing to say.
BTW- I never heard back from the cousins about whether I was coming or not.

Seriously, its not like she's coming anyway. Plus, I find it very suspicious that neither inviations were sent back........ I told FH that she probably didnt know who I was, so she just thew away the bridal shower invitation. FH doesnt care what I do either way.

Re: What should I do?
What harm can be done in re-sending it!! just do it to calm waters.
send it signature request, this way she can't say she 'didn't get it'
(do you think she really got it but didn't want/couldn't afford a gift, so shes saying she didn't get one?)

Re: What should I do?
I would re-send it certified mail, so you know she got it. My FMIL wanted me to re-send an invite because the list she gave me was incorrect instead of Dr. John Doe, she wrote Mr. John Doe, so I sent it out Mr. John Doe. Do you believe this guy had the nerve to complain to FIL's and now she wants me to re-send it correctly. In this case I said no. Being a Dr. is somthing to be definitely be proud of, but seriously get over yourself. You're just going to throw the envelope away anyway. Why are people so difficult?

Who knows..... but I dam near had a bridezilla moment when FMIL accused me of 'making a mistake'. Listen lady, I dont make mistakes when it comes to my wedding. Just because she didnt get it doesnt mean I didnt send it. While she was on hold I cross referenced my paper list with my list on the laptop and called my sister in Florida just to prove my point I love my FMIL, but for the love of God, dont tell me I made a mistake

I am the same way!! I'm very Maticluous (sp? word?) with Paper work, and we were at fox Hollow the night before the wedding for rehersal, and our Mgr. wsa like, 'oh, you never filled out this one for the ceremony'... I went into Bridezilla... and was like 'NO, you never gave it to me. I have NEVER seen that sheet before. HAD You given it to me, I WOULD have filled it out, most likely TYPED and sorted...' HELLO??? didn't you see all the TYPED pages in EXCEL that I gave you back, cross listed and soted 3 different ways... Don't accuse ME of not doing someting!!

Definitely resend it. I would also do a return receipt. That way you'll get your point across in the nicest possible way

Yes. After proving said point, I read off FMIL's address list she provided me and read it to her along with the same address on my list. I also read off the same address that was on the bridal shower list. No mistakes on any lists
I went so far as to zabasearch her name and the same address came up

Re: What should I do?
Yes definitely send another one with delivery confirmation and signature required via USPS. It will be a few bucks but worth it. I find it hard to believe she did not get 2 invitations. She might be using it as an excuse.
