What size and shape is your dining room table?

I am looking for a round one that opens to accomodate 8-10 people. I think round is more suitable for conversation and I love the pedestal bases.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

We are waiting delivery on ours. It is rectangular and has 2 -20-inch leaves that make it 108' long. It is 48' inches wide and has 4 Queen Anne style legs.

I had to go with rectangular because our dining room is long and narrow and the round/oval ones wouldn't have used the space well.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

Ours is square so we cant do a rectangle table, it think its either 12X12 or 14X14.

We've been looking for a new dining room set and have recently been to the places on Rt 110 in Farmingdale - we found that we really like the round bases with a square top that has rounded edges.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

We just ordered a table that is on the small side, but opens longer. It's 38' x 52' and has 2 leaves (20' each) to open to 72' or 92'. I really loved a 44' x 70' table, but it just made the room too crowded so we went with a smaller size.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

My table has arrived at the store!
Unfortunately, my house isn't quite ready, so it has to live there for a while.

ANYWAY ~ it's 72'w 44'd 30'h, and with the leaves, opens to 110'W.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

we have a round table with pedestal that has two leaves (then it is oval obviously). it only fits 6 people comfortably. when we buy a new one, i need the same thing (round) that opens up even larger.

where are good places to look for dr tables? unfortunately, we can't really fit a china cabinet.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

We're on the hunt for a 14' (w/leaves) rectanglular dining room table.

Found one, but we're not in love with it.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

This is my mom's dining room set (just the table and chairs)

She got it from Seamans

Table opens to 90 inches with one 18 inch leaf.

Re: What size and shape is your dining room table?

My set uses a 120' oval table cloth when it has both leaves in it and I have had 14 people around the table without much trouble. I fits 6 around it easily without an leaves in it.
