what song are you using for FATHER / DAUGHTER dance?
I'm using butterfly kisses by bob carlisle coz i cry every time i hear it.
I am also having 2 extra dances because of extended family...my mom and dad are divorced and my mom is now lesbian...her gf helped to raise me from the age of 3 so I'm adding a dance with my mom and my moms ex gf whom I have always called 'my aunt'
for those moms dance will be Celine dion - because you loved me

we're dancing to You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. I was at a wedding where it was the mother/son dance, and I got all teary, so I knew this was the song to dance w/ my dad to.

I've narrowed it down to Heartland-I loved her first, or Paul Simon - Father and Daughter (I think thats the name) or Tim McGraw - my little girl

i haven't had a chance to run it by my dad, but i really love 'I Loved her First' by Heartland. But he may have something else in mind. - we have plenty of time to decide

i love the traditional 'dadies little girl' because i really am since im the youngest, but i also love 'the way you look tonight' by frank sinatra, but is more of an upbeat song so we'd have to dance a bit faster than slow. oh and i do love the song by faith hill that goes 'ill keep a part of you with me...and everywhere i go there you'll be....' oh boy too many to pck from!

We're using 'You are the Sunshine of My Life' by Stevie Wonder. When I was a baby, my Dad used to dance around the house with me to that song

That has been our song since I was a baby because when I was born he made a video of pictures of me with that song in the background. I havent told him thats what were dancing to and im pretty sure hes gonna lose it when he hears it cause hes a big cry baby!

We're doing 'you look wonderful tonight' by eric clapton .. It was the first song my daddy sang and played the guitar for me when I was a baby, so everytime I hear it I think of him!

I was thinking about dancing to 'Daddy's Girl' by Peter Cetera. It is a perfect song, but a little on the fast side though. I really love Peter's voice! Now I am not sure though because Michael W. Smith just came out with a song that he wrote for his daughter's wedding, which is pretty also and a lot slower. I am not much for traditional stuff like Sinatra, although we are having a wedding singer at our wedding to use the old standards as dinner music.

One song that isnt really an obvious father/daughter song that Id like to dance to is 'Glory of Love' by Peter Cetera. My dad and I used to sing it together like a duet so it means a lot to me but I dont know if it would sound right.
