What wedding trend do you think is soooo over?

For me it would be when the bridal party holds up flowers of some sort for the bride and groom to walk under when entering the reception room. I did that at my sweet 16!

Definitely the whole bride and groom going under the bridal party as they raise their flowers...ugh!!

Also, the bride wearing a hat--GROSS!

I also think that those dresses with ten thousand pick ups are just over. NO OFFENSE to anyone though!! They are just not my cup of tea!

And call me totally non-traditional, but I really dislike the whole garter belt/throwing of the bouquet at the reception. I actually like the idea of throwing the bouquet immediately following the church (this is the tradition in Greece).

And oh yes, I also dislike receiving lines or spending half of your wedding going around and thanking everyone. I think it SHOULD be done, but a little more spontaneously, not forced! (if that makes sense)

I agree with most things except for the pickups...I think those are still very much in and according to most fashion mags they arent goin anywhere! I think they are stunning! rock on pickup brides!

I also like the pickups. I think they look great. I haven't chosen my dress yet, but I definitely plan on trying on a few dresses in that style.

But no offense taken or anything, I think its great that everyone has their own tastes and styles!

That's hilarious but it may happen.. I was totally against having pick-ups, I think because it would look dated in my photos after a while..but my dream gown has pickups. However it had alot of them all over so I had the designer get rid of them in the front and only have 3 subtle pickups in the back, instead of the whole bunch that was back there initially.

I'm not fan of the pickups either, although i have seen some girls on here who look gorgeous in them, so it really depends, just like everything! I do feel like it's trendy though, but who can predict what will look dated 10 years from now? certaintly not me

i don't like tiaras either, sorry! i don't know what it is. i just never had the urge to look like a princess i guess.

they arent exactly my cup of tea either but they do look great on the girls! diff strokes for diff folks... makes the world go round hahah personally, i think its gonna be one of those trends where you look back on pics and can identify exactly the yr it was by the whole pickup trend im going for a more timeless look myself

Mrs. Mazz, I agree! I actually tried on a dress with pick ups and for some reason, I felt like I belonged on top of a cake!!

I know what you mean but i feel like like a ton of different styles that we are all looking from the pickups to the mermaid fitted styles could all be clues to the time period we get married ya know?
