I don't have anything in mind, well maybe a traditional receiving line. Seems very time consuming.

I believe tiaras are only meant for princesses, and even though we may feel like one on your wedding day, Id prefer some nice pins or a pin.

by tiaras, do we mean full blown crowns??

I def do not like them....but my best friend just got married and she had some crystal type of half crown thingy on her head--I don't know what it's called but I've attached a pic for your viewing pleasure.

Anyhoot, it definitely looked really pretty on her!

Mrs. Mazz, I agree! I actually tried on a dress with pick ups and for some reason, I felt like I belonged on top of a cake!!

but yeah, I def have seen some brides in them who looked stunning!

I know what you mean but i feel like like a ton of different styles that we are all looking from the pickups to the mermaid fitted styles could all be clues to the time period we get married ya know?

Yeah I think I'd rather have a nice comb instead of a tiara. I tried one on at the bridal salon and while I thought it was cute..it wasn't for me. I don't want to be 'cute' for my wedding day.. I want to be a gorgeous DIVA!

hahaha so true Mazz! I dont like tiaras (the crown things) but I don;t mind the headpieces...i think those are pretty

I know!!!

My mom had a very simple dress and a high veil--it was very Jackie O.

But my MIL had a lace, long sleeved dress with a matching floppy hat.

She got it from Macy's!!! She went nuts looking for one and just happened to stumble on it!!

I remember seeing a photo of Bianca Jagger when she married, she wore a floppy hat and she looked HOT! Very stylish.

not sure this qualifies but i hate HATE HATE when the photographer makes the bride sit with all the flowers around her dress .....................

and also when they pose the bride and make her look at her flowers BLEH...

sorry if ya like it but I think everyone one of my 12 cousins who got married in the eighties has that exact pic...
with the big puffy sleeved dresses with 3-d beading so it looks like its gonna attack you!

and I'm done with the garter and bo-k thing
new traditions need to start!

Hell let's go for the underwear

So what should we do instead of the garter and bouquet toss? I would rather not stop the flow of the partying to do those silly things. I know my FH would be way too embarrased to do the garter thing... he's shy. And I wouldn't want to single out my single friends with the bouquet toss. Maybe I'll present it to my Mother after the ceremony.

we asked our DJ to do an honor ceremony so when they usually do the old stuff he will ask all the couples who have been married for ten years to come on the dance floor then 20,30,etc. THe couple that is on their the longest will get the bo-k in honor of marriage!
