Well I don't really get in-laws. My FH has absolutely no relationship with his father and his mom passed away. But his aunt and uncle are standing in as his parents, and I call them aunt and uncle like he does; not Mr and Mrs.

My FH calls my mom 'Mom', but I don't think he'd be comfy doing that with my dad (they haven't met yet), he'll prob call him by his 1st name. I asked my FH if he thought his mom would want me to call her that and he said yes, so then I would if I had ever been given the chance.

My FH dad died one year before my dad, so we only have our mothers. He calls my mother mom-in-law, and I call his mother Ms. K.

I call my FIL's by their first names

I don't know yet.... I'll have to see what feels comfortable when the time comes, I guess.

Personally I have a mom and dad and can't imagine calling anyone else that. Their first names are fine.

I have a feeling I'm going to continue the Mr. and Mrs. thing because I can't imagine calling anyone else 'mom and dad' besides my parents. Plus, I was raised caling everyone Mr. and Mrs. so and so- calling anyone by their first names just is foreign to me.

I call them Mr. & Mrs. right now. I'm not sure about the Mom and Dad, feels a little strange but I'm sure eventually I'll call them that from time to time.

I started with mr. and mrs. now that i am going to be part of the fam, they want first names. I think I will do that until we have kids... then I'll probably make the switch to mom and dad...

i call my in-laws 'mom' and 'dad' :) they like it and im getting used to it. I think i like it too.

DEF. MOM AND DAD I ADORE THE 2 OF THEM... HECK I CALL THEM THAT NOW!

I have called them mom & dad since we got engaged. It was weird at first but both of my parents called their in laws mom & dad & I just think it is easier. It is weird when both my parents are in the same place & I say mom & they both answer . My FH calles my mom 'mom' & my dad 'pop' which i think is funny.


PS don't feel weird I use to just start conversations when i was dating my FH because I didn't know what to call them

we asked them what they would prefer. And my mom said whatever makes you comfy. DH chose 'mom'. And my MIL & FIL said mom and dad would be nice, so that's what I call them.

I will call them by their first names.. I adore them and he adores my parents, but I guess we shall see

I will call FMIL by her first name (FH's dad is deceased). it be too weird for me to call someone other than my mother 'mom'.
