What words do you hate when someone pronounces differently than you?

Original post by NovemberSue

I hate when people say on-velope instead of envelope. I also hate when people say fuss-trated instead of frustrated.

mlp - Is he from Boston? My best guy friend is from boston and his accent irks the CRAP out of me!!!! He is so smart (full scholarship to an Ivy League) but sounds SO dumb when he talks....

(No offense if there are any Bostonians on board!!!)

I hate how the letter R randomly appears in words. I also hate when people mispronounce big words they use to make themselves look smarter and just look so DUMB.

Also - the word Pianist

Sounded out - PEE (accent here)- A- NIST
not PEE-A(accent here)-NIST

THE GUY IN THE COMMERCIAL FOR THE MOVIE KEPT MISSPRONOUNCING IT!!!! UGHHHHHHH

An old coworker took to using the 'word': belivid. As in, 'I was so belivid that I didn't get that raise!'. Um, no such WORD as BELIVID. What a dolt!

I just read all three pages and I was laughing my head off, I felt like making up a poem with all the mispronounciation, but I will leave it for another day

I hate when people say irregardless, there is no such word, it is regardless.

I hated when people add an ed to a word that is already past tense ex. He lookted so good, hello, are you creating your own words here

I hate that people add R at the ends of words that are not there

I work with 2 people here that always use words in the wrong context or mispronounce a word and just keep going. I just want to scream. Reading all of these made me question myself about how many of them I am guilty of.....NONE
