I got engaged on 8-19-09, my story is kind of funny…I have been wanting the I-touch for a while. Every time I asked for it he would tell me that Apple *****. So that evening we were watching CSI Miami, I was getting ready for bed and I saw a box that looked like a small book. I then tossed it to the side thinking it was one of my little motivational books. When I lay down I picked up the “the box” and told myself “hmmm, this is no book. I started to open it and BAM! MY I-TOUCH!!!! I was super excited and started kissing him and jumping around like a little girl..lol. He looked at me and said “read the back”……I read the back and it said “To Cathy, the woman I love, Will you marry me”…..I was so in shocked I was like NO…..he said “NO”! I said I mean YES, YES, YES…..I hugged him and he gave me the …

7-11-09 - Our anniversary @ Sole in Oceanside. We knew we were going to get engaged we even picked out the ring, went to get it fitted a week before. The lady told us it wouldnt be in for two weeks, and I was like oh ok. Thinking no ring for the aniversary. So on our anniversary we had the perfect day, went and got mani pedi's, then went out to dinner. Which btw if you like italian food...give this place a try its amazing. So right after dinner before desert he gets up and moves like he was going to the bathroom, spins around gets on one knee with the ring in hand and says theres no one i would rather spend the rest of my life with, will you marry me. I started crying and was like OMG I HATE YOU...Of course I'll marry you. :) Apparently he called the jewler ahead of when we went in and told them to tell me it was going to take an extra week for the ring.

i got engaged on a beach in montauk as well!!! similar situation--- he made reservations for dinner but we went to the beach first because the sun was setting around 8ish and he proposed... and then we went to dinner

I got engaged in Montauk also!!!!
After we climbed the lighthouse we went down by the beach and he got down on one knee!

I had just finished student teaching... it was my first weekend that i got to take a breather!.... We went to the city to see the tree and have dinner... after we went on a horse and buggy through central park and we had the blanket over us we were holding hands and we started to kiss.... he slipped the ring onto my finger then got on his knee and asked me to marry him....

it was sooo special and romantic... i used to go on the horse and buggy all the time when i was younger and him and i had never been on it together and i always told him that i wanted to so it was really special :)

7-11-09 and no we didn't get free slurpies from 7-11 like everyone asked!

he proposed at Argyle Lake in Babylon after a dinner at Prime Restaurant. It was where we had our first anniversary dinner when it first opened almost 5 years ago!

In my classroom in front of my first grade students. My FH came to talk to my students about fire safety. It was Community Helpers Week..

FH proposed the Sunday of Labor Day weekend (09-06-09) in front of his whole family and my family. We had gotten the families together in the Poconos at his sisters house. I thought it was a BBQ party for Labor Day, but it turned out to be my surprise engagement party!! He got down on his hands and proposed. I will never forget it because he proposed with a 'Ring Pop' instead of my e-ring, which he later gave to me.
It was a very memorable moment that I will never forget.
