At first, I was speechless and then I kept saying 'what?! what?! what?!!' Then, I bursted into tears and gave him a hug. I didn't let go for a while lol

It took me a while to actually say 'yes.' I was so shocked lol

I had no idea it was coming so I kind of blacked out and don't remember anything he said...I cried for a while and shook my head yes lol

I also apparently was staring at him and not at the ring, so FH said he wanted to shake the ring and have it say, 'Look at meeeeeeee!'

We got engaged while pumpking picking and a week or so prior I had an inkling that he might propose, but then I completely changed my mind. So when it actually did happen, the first thing I said was 'I KNEW IT!!!!!' and started jumping around. After the ring was on my finger he said 'Uh... you never really answered my question' haha.

FH had joked about it so many times that on Christmas Eve when my ENTIRE family was there (including my 90yo grandma and my great-aunt from the city) and he was actually proposing my initial reaction was 'you effing jerk! my FAMILY is here' LMAO! I honestly thought the ring box was empty and that he was kidding. When he opened the box and the ring was actually in there I froze and couldnt say anything. Thats a story for the ages huh?

I am glad I'm not the only one who didn't just say 'yes! of course!' lol. After he got down on one knee and popped the question I was like 'OMG. IS THIS REAL? IS THIS REAL RIGHT NOW?' He says, 'It's real! Is that a yes?' and then I said, 'yes,' and gave him the wrong hand!

OMG I did this too! I had the ring on the wrong hand for a good 15 mins before FSIL came over to me and told me it was on the wrong hand!

I think the funniest part of our proposal was my reaction... I kind of knew it was coming so I said 'IS THIS NOW!?!?!?!?!' I remember always wanting to remember this moment in my life and savor it so I guess thats why that came out of my mouth...then I started to cry and just nod yes lol

It was New Year's day last year. FH got called into work for the ball drop (I found out later that is was originally supposed to happen at midnight with my parents and a few other family members but alas, work summoned, ugh). He came home around 4am and we went to bed (I had already been out cold for about 2 hours). The next day we stayed in bed until about 2pm, then FH went home to shower and change. We had talked about going out to eat somewhere. The restaurant where we had our first day turned into one of the two restaurant's I had gift certificates for which eventually turned into grandma's leftover manicotti on my couch. I had showered and done my hair to go out, was about to start my makeup and was still in my robe when FH got back and began setting the coffee table (where we usually eat dinner). I remember thinking something was kind off because he cleared the entire table, not normal. He called me to come eat and wouldn't let me get dressed so wearing my robe I sat on my couch for dinner. I remember noticing a box which I knew he saved little momentos of our years together (I know because we had just looked at everything about 6 months earlier) and also noticing he was still earing his gun from the night before (FH is a police officer). I asked him why he was still carying and why he didn't drop his gun off and he told me he forgot, which I thought was ridiculous because he showered and everything. WHy wouldn't he lock up his gun? After dinner we looked at the stuff in the box, I wasn't very impressed because I had just seen everything. FH pouted that I was excited then when we had reached the end told me I dropped some stuff on the floor. As he got down to check the cushions and get the fallen things he handed them to me saying 'you forgot this'. After the third time I was getting a little tired of the routine and he said 'one more thing' with the ring in his hand and said 'will you marry me?' My exact response was 'NO WAY!' 'Are you serious?' 'Are you sure?' 'YES!'
Why do we all think they're pulling some major prank on us. That would be the cruelest prank ever!

All I remember is OMG OMG OMG I love it!!! And then running from lamp post to lamp post to see the ring better! I don't even know if I said yes! LOL

We designed a ring together so I knew the proposal was going to happen eventually, but he managed to surprise me. I was so surprised he managed to surprise me! I said 'awww yessss,,, of course I will!!!!' Then I started gasping and saying 'omg!!!!! It's gorgeous!!!!!!' When I got to see the ring lol

After dating for 7 years and owning a home together i thought the day would never come. I kept asking fh if he was joking.

As soon as he got on one knee, my eyes filled with tears and I started giggling. I couldn't wait for him to stop talking so I could say YES! LOL

Haha my fiance always makes fun of me for my response but now I can tell him I'm not the only one. I was on a trip to Disney World with my fiance and on our first day there he got down on one knee by the rose garden next to the castle and asked me. My response was 'are you serious?' after he said yes I asked him again 'are you serious?' and he said I can put it away if you dont want it then I said yes and hugged him... I had nooooooo idea it was coming though thats why my response was the way it was.
