Going to stop their birth control?

FI says he wants me to stop in Jan 06.

Just keep in mind, morning sickness and expanding waist line. I was also on bed rest. Id wait until after the wedding.

Is he hoping that you will get pregnant before the wedding? Personally, I wouldn't want to be three or four months pregnant at my wedding.

I don't see myself ever having children, so I think I will stop my bc pills only once I go through menopause!

yeah... thats what i was gonna say... i would wait until after the wedding to stop BC... you don't know how your body will react to being off the pills ( weight gain, sickness,etc) and theres a chance you would get pregnant before the wedding... and you would in the early stages of pregnancy at the wedding, which probably wouldn't be fun....
we'll probably want kids in about 2-3 years, so i'll stop my BC then...

We plan on using other protection until the honeymoon. So i wont get pregos before the wedding.

i want a house first. that will probably take at least 3-4 years, so once that is complete, then ill think about having babies. i hope by the time im 30, ill at least have 1.

I dont understand why youd stop it now then? Your body may go through changes when you stop the pill. I would think it definately will, youre stopping a hormone and they may not be great. I can tell you my period is HORRIBLE when I stop the pill.

Just to put it out there - you can get pregnant the very next month after stopping the pill. As a matter of fact I ran out of pills and got pregnant before I got to the pharmacy a few days later to refill!! I missed about 3.

This is EXACTLY why I don't want to stop until AFTER the honeymoon, I want control of the beast til then, cuz I know when I go off the body will be all out of whack...and I want to ENJOY my HM

Probably not til the end of 2007. I don't want to wait too long, but I def want to be stable with my career and a house first.

Stopping your pills a few months before the wedding is a bad idea. Your body will go through changes, and who wants to be pregnant AT their wedding? Also, you'll then have to worry about having your period during your HM.

What worries me most is that you're saying that your FH wants you to stop before the wedding. What about what YOU want? It's your body. Even if you stop right after the wedding, you'll still be able to get pregnant within a month. If you're stopping early because you both want a baby, you really won't lose any time if you wait until after the wedding to stop your pills.

Whatever you choose to do, though, good luck!

Well I want to have a baby relatively soon after the wedding (I will be 30 when I get married )

I know that they say you should be off of birth control for 6 months before concieving (greater chance of miscarriages if you get prego too soon after stopping bc)

So I think I am going to stop the pill around May 2006 and hopefully be prego by December 2006. Who knows though.
