Re: When the weddings over, I can't wait to....

I wish I could come up with something good for this, but when my wedding is over and I get back from my honeymoon, I will still have one more year of grad school left, so I will just be concentrating on that and hopefully not be as stressed as I am now.

But if you ask what I will do when school's over... oh, the possibilities I will take myself for a day of pampering at the spa, spend some money on me, and just RELAX. I can't wait.

Re: When the weddings over, I can't wait to....

I just started a similar thread on Ultimat weddings

I can't wait to
cut my hair.
save for a rainy day, not one day.
see a movie at a theatre instead of missing it and renting it months later to return it without watching it
being able to settle into some sort of routine around the house instead of squeezing chores and meals in here and there.
having extra vacation time (I am using 12 of my 15 days for the wedding/HM)
taking a scrap book class with BM's wife.

Re: When the weddings was over...

the reality was...
not long after found out I was being laid off, then had the job extended, then got a job on LI (was living in Boston), had 4 weeks to pack some stuff to move to the corporate apt (without hubby - married just 6 months) and saw each other on weekends. (He works from a home office selling insurance, and had to have a home to work from before he could transfer down here - and it would have cost over $4000 to move the furniture and store it - it was cheaper to 'store' it in the Boston Apt.) Found a house then could not get the seller to set the closing date and get out. Had to move out of the corporate apt. and in with hubby's grandmother in Queens. Spent weekends alternating between here and Boston - packing up the apt. there - until we finally got a closing date in late April after our lawyer threatened to sue. (that was 6 months of a 'commuter' marriage). Finally in the house and we still have stuff in boxes since it's a 'fixer-upper' and we need to do some fixin' and get some furniture before we unpack all the boxes.

Moral of the story - if it's not one thing, it's another....

Re: When the weddings over, I can't wait to....

Start counseling! (Kidding)

Have extra $$, extra time, extra everything. No to-do list (credit Shamma!)

And a baby makes three?? Most likely right after the honeymoon...

Move back to the Northeast! I'm dying here in Texas! Nothing is worse than being hundreds of miles away from a beach!

Re: When the weddings over, I can't wait to....

Icannot wait to not have to look in my calendar before saying I can hang-out with friends.
Not worry that I am forgetting some all important detail that will make or break the wedding
Stop fighting over banning the electric slide and congo lines at the reception

I cannot wait to say I am a wife, to call my HUSBAND on the phone, to save money for something other than the wedding, to live happily ever after
