Skew
How do you book a florist without knowing a color scheme?? That is the first question they ask me?

Florist

booked based on a very high recommendation from my sil. i made a called and booked the date. i have yet to meet with them, but plan to sometime this month. the flowers at my brother's weddings were gorgeous and i have complete confidence in them.

my sil is one very picky, hard to please girl. so, if something meets her high expectations, then i know that i have nothing to worry about.

Oct Bride

re: color, i would chose an autumn color. i am partial to burgandy/cranberry. fall colors are gorgeous and you can't go wrong matching flowers if you stay in the red family.

I decided in bridesmaid dresses... Dessy 1943 in Claret. I thought that would be a nice color for fall.

Hi Ladies!

How was everyone's weekend? Any progress to report?

monters - how did the showcase go?

oct.2004bride - how was your engagement/meet the inlaws dinner? Did everyone get along okay?

Kelly9904 - how was accessory shopping and AC? (Did you win any $$?!)

KelOct04 - Congrats on choosing your BM dress!!

I had my fitting on Sat., it went really well! I was all nervous for nothing! I posted a long review with a link to pics on the BHB board. Tonight, we are meeting with Verdi! I'm excited! Then we have a meeting with Mark Kauffman on Thurs. I'm hoping to choose a photographer by next week. (I'm getting antsy about crossing another item off my list - FH is like, 'we have plenty of time!' Does anyone else get this reaction from their FH?!)

Hi Jessica- the showcase was really good, thanks for asking..I loved the chocolate fountain that they had setup..but I don't think $6pp is really worth it!...all the vendors were there as well..and I decided to go with another florist instead of the house one..even though their CP's are included..I'll just get the credit to put elsewhere..the food was great! we haven't done much else..I am checking out a florist on saturday morning (someone at work's relative)..so I'm excited about that..I'm prepared with a bunch of pics too!

you and your dress look GREAT!.. I love it, it's beautiful..classy..

hang in there! and good luck with the photo guys!

Robyn - I'm so glad the showcase went well!

I just saw a website last week that rents chocolate fountains - WOW!! If by some miracle I am able to save up some more money, I would Love to rent one of those!! (FH was drooling over it too!) Have fun at your florist appointment on Sat.!! (I can't wait to start looking at flowers!) What flowers do you have in mind? Also, did you pick your BM dress color yet?

Keep me posted! (And thank you for the compliment!)

I am here, haven't gotten a chance to get on here lately. Lot's of finalizing stuff going on, we have less than 86 days!

I'm here too! We booked our photographer last night, we've had a florist, and next is the DJ! The only issue I have with that is that I know too many DJs and I don't want to hurt any of their feelings! LOL!

I think after that I'll head on to hair/makeup.

I love this support group - everyone on here is so sweet.

Since we have mostly everything done, we are now working on tissue envelopes and buying little things here and there.

Congrats PrincessRose.....NYLisa....I wish I could be as lucky as you to have so much done!! Even though we don't have a lot of time left...it's going well...the best advice is just don't stress!!! We are working on our officiant right now and doing e-shots on Sunday...I will have pics to show off next week!!

I wish though that I did not have this much time left because the more time I have, the more projects I want to start.

LOL lisa.....wanna help me put together invites when they come in? How about quilting for my MOH and grandma? or creating centerpieces!!! Now you can relax though, and that peace of mind is priceless.

HI i am back
this past week was so busy. But got some things accomplished. I had the engagement dinner with my new family- which went GREAT i was shocked. This week i finished looking at photograpghers and booked one yesterday. And today finally registered....didn''t like that experience at all. Made me feel so greedy.
Tuesday the BM''s and i are looking for dresses! Hopefully that will go smoothly.

Oct.2004Bride - here is a VERY big suggestion:

Go see Chris at Perfect Wedding Planner. His office is right inside Fox Hollow, and his work is just beautiful!!! He's also less expensive than most of the places you're seeing.

I had the best meeting with him! I booked him on the spot - that was the most confidence I've had in any booking yet.
