I feel like I keep going back and forth with a lot of things, especially my dress. We wanted like a city chic wedding and then I tried on my dress which is not city chic at all but it felt really good on but when I look at pics...I'm still not sure...everyone else loves it on me.
My flowers I'm confused. We wanted branchy and white which we got but now I think I want more flowers....My FH is thinking I'm crazy....
I hear the Vienese room (which it is in the cocktail room) is amazing. I told Mike T I didn't want it if it would interfere with dancing since I'm paying so much for the band and he said absolutly not, it will be in the cocktail room so I liked that idea because then people can have lots of choices and I was wondering if I could provide boxes for people to take stuff home. Did anyone ask about that? I know some RH's don't allow it but I thought it would be nice little bakery boxes for takehome.
I'm starting to work on inviations. I want simple and elegant. Anyone have any ideas where to look? That is pretty much my theme simple, elegant. I'm sticking with white, Ivory and black as my colors and making the wedding black-tie optional. (is that bad for Sunday twighlight?)
your cp's are gorg. we were thinking of doing something with braches for the entryway since they are so popular as far as dresses go, you can always do a second dress that resmbles city chic? an option only if the price is right i absolutely love your idea with the bakers boxes. i would have never thought of that. i wonder if the allow it? i guess whoever finds out first will have to post. for invitations i am using debbie from bloomingquill.com she does amazing calig work, they are somewhat ornate but it depends on the look you are going for

thanks but I like the way yours are so full...but probably so much more than I wanted to spend. I really focused on spending just on the RH with the extras (sushi and shrimp bar) and the band. I really want a great party.

I saw your invites in your album they are gorgeous and very unique.
My student teacher says she knows some of the girls in the class you're taking with Brett. They are in her student teaching class.

We're using S+P (Huntington location). We met with Wade (he said he was one of the owners) and he was amazing. He was so nice and professional (we had a terrible experience with Stefans) and he really got my vision. We're doing bright purples/magentas and green, with lots of branches. Our main entrance piece will hopefully be a huge tree of branches with magenta orchids on it. I love bright colors, and really want to go crazy with flowers against the elegant white backdrop of the ballroom.

These are my flower so far but there will be more orchids...I didn't realize going with orchids was so expensive but now FH really wants them.
I'm still up in the air but the last place I want to spend a lot on was the flowers. I was happy working with Brian from S&P he made me feel better. I know these are not everyone's taste but we love the branch look but defnitely needs more flowers.

HAHAH Brian and Wade are Bobby's sons...I am working out of Cedarhurst and that is Bobby's location!!! When I see my CP I will def post...As for now I am off to get quotes on my menus..it seems that if u do them yourself and go to staples it is the most affordable...i dont wnt to to spend a lot on something that doesnt really impact the night...

thanks. haha cool, i think there are 3 girls from my class that are student teaching. its funny b/c whenever we start class Brett asks them about there adventures in student teaching.

I am student teaching now too!!! It is alot and sometimes i think i should have waited til Jan but whatever!!! I am sooo overwhelmed!!! Just picked up my shoes and dropped off the menu template at staples for printing!!

AMAZING!! Wade was so nice and I'm so confident in their work, which is most important. Thanks so much for the info on the menus...I really want them but don't want to spend a lot.

yea def do your own i can send you my template if u want and u can do it on MS word or PowerPoint if u want to...staples if u use black ink is only 16 cents per page and then they cut them for u too to the size u want...it is only about $60 to do it this way and most printers quuoted me 200 plus!!!

I would love to see them. I don't think I'm going to do them because I am doing donation cards and I don't want the table to get overcrowded.
Any ideas for donation cards. I'm donating to the ALS Foundation. FH's dad passed two years ago from that.
