Re: Where are you registered?
we just registered at bed bath and beyond and fortunoff.. our engagement party is in 3 weeks. we're hoping we get money but dont mind the gifts either! in our engagement party invites i added a lil thing that says, for kimmie and rick's wedding website, please visit and put our website cause our registries are on there. we didnt know how to go about putting our registry in there since its only an engagement party.
did you guys mostly get gifts or money from the e parties?

Re: Where are you registered?
Love the idea about putting your wedding website on the invites-- not the regisrty info-- thats a sneaky way to get in in there without being tacky!!
As for me-- I don't know what to do about a registry--we will register- but we've been living together in an apartment for a year & we're moving into a new house in a months so we literally have EVERYTHING we need-- we bought all new appliances & everything- I too want to be able to use some gifts from the eparty to pay for the wedding-- but at the same time- if people are going to give a monetary gift I don't think a registry will stop them-- & if not- at least I won't get a million things i dont need... what to do what to do...

Re: Where are you registered?
do a honeymoon registry!! that saves you guys soooo much money and i think theres a part where you can ask for money on there.. well request it. i think its a great idea if you guys have lived together for awhile and dont need anything. i wish we didnt need anything because then we'd have a honeymoon all paid for! hope this helped xo

Re: Where are you registered?
Macy's and Bed, Bath and Beyond
toyed with Fortunoff but Macy's gave us reward points, I also went back and fourth with Crate and Barrel b/c I like their stuff but it was easiest for our guests to buy us stuff with Macy's and BBB...
I'm having an e-party this July and I registered a while ago because close family members liked to buy me stuff from the registry for xmas, bday, things like that: to get us started on getting everything we want.

Do you think it's OK to register at Lowe's?? We didn't have an e-party and we already have the house, the toasters, the blenders...but we could really use wooden blinds, a storm door, closet organizers, etc. Is that cheesey?
That's a great idea. If I had a house, that's where I'd be registering! Go for it!

I say do it. I'm kind of in the same situation but we already updated things in the house and are focusing on the outside now. So one of the places we registered at was Sears (lawnmower, ladder, bug zapper, etc). FH had a blast! Just keep in mind though what people would want to bring you (would a storm door fit in Aunt Flo's car?) so maybe also add gift cards to the registry, those are key.
