We are currently living in an apt in queens but looking to buy something hopefully when we are married. Starting looking this weekend

(Choosing between Queens or Nassau cnty)

Our co-op in Bayside. But once we have our second child we'll be looking to leave. For now that's home.

We will be going back to Chicago. We have a 3 BR apt on Lake Michigan with a great view of downtown.

Staying where we are for 2 more years
We rent a floor of a house in Howard Beach.

Then want to build our own house in Howard Beach in Late 05 early 06

We were hoping to buy a house in Western Suffolk but that's not going to happen. We will be living in the same overpriced apartment that we are living in now until either the house prices drop or I hit the lotto. At this point, it seems like the latter is more likely to happen

I'm in the same boat as you!! Might have to move back to parents house to save more money with the prices of todays houses on the island they are crazy!! But for now stay where we are and hopefully in 2years or so something happen!!

For now, we own a COOP in Queens - in a couple of years (I hope) we'll start house hunting..LI? Maybe - the market out there is crazy expensive - I'll live anywhere near a beach..but I'll miss LI beaches..

We'll be staying put in our little co-op in Westchester (Scardale) while house/condo hunting for a year - hopefully NOT longer

No clue where we'll wind up. Looking at either upper Westchester or Long Island, but will have to reconcile our job situations before making a final choice.

If it were up to FH, he's move back to Michigan (where he lived most of his teenage/adult life) . Its just so tough around NY to find a great house, its disenchanting sometimes

We just bought our new house in September. No more than 10 minutes from either parents house. A little too close to the in-laws but it will have it's perks when we have kids. That's where we plan to stay for a while.

In my condo in NJ. FH would love to move west (Oregon) and I am seriously liking Florida these days....but somehow I think we will stay in NJ. Hopefully...we can sell my condo in a year or two and upgrade to a house with rooms for the

It's amazing how many people mentioned that they are or would like to move out of NY. I think its a shame that the ridiculously high prices here are probably the biggest reason for this.

My FI and I are going to closing on our house in Florida next week. We could never afford to live in NY the way we would like to!
