Where is everyone saving?

We don't go out to eat as much
I don't go to the salon as much
less shopping

Everything is save for the wedding and a place to live now.

hmm i haven't really thought of this--

i was going to cut back on my hours with my second job but i didn't
we both live at home
we usually go on 2-3 big vacations a year, and were just going on 1 little one this year to florida (booo--this is my biggest annoyance with the wedding)

FH started bringing this lunch to work (i always brought mine)
we only go out to eat on saturday nights, we try to get as many free meals as possible from my mom
i stopped shopping and buying shoes
we each have $ deposited into a wedding account from our paychecks

we're not buying each other bday presents this year.. we were supposed to go to vegas with all of my FHs siblings and cousins.. dont see that happening

im saving harder then FH, but i make more money.

We food shop a little more conseravtively... i clip coupons and stock up when things are on sale. We also don't go out top eat as often as we would like.

-we don't go to the movies anymore (we used to go every weekend)
-we don't eat out or order out anymore
-i only get a manicure (instead of mani & pedi) every week
-i bring lunch to work (stupid expensive east side of manhattan)
-i only buy breakfast 1 or 2 days a week (again stupid expensive east side of manhattan)
-we only drive the car when absoluelty necessary

hmm not shopping a lot
eating cheap

1. brown bag lunch everyday
2. no more shopping sprees for things i don't need but have to have at rite aid
3. coupons! coupons! coupons!
4. I live at home and have no credit card bills so I am able to deposit most of my pay in the 'Wedding Fund'

Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice!! Thankfully FH and I started a joint account last year. We don't want to ask the parentals for a dime. Hopefully we can do it not be indebted to anyone after we say I DO! (fingers crossed)

I am going to say that not much has change in terms of MY spending. I have always been a saver and have been putting my money aside for a down payment for about 2 years now. FH on the other hand, he has been doing so good with the money he spends. He actually gave me his debit/credit cards and I've been giving him money weekly.

I also took over paying the bills. Made a budget and figured everything out. We put him on my car insurance and we're saving about HALF!!
