Okay, originally we wanted to do St. Lucia, and its still in our budget to go to the Regency for 7 days, but for some reason i'm not as into that anymore.. So i've been speaking with Travel Tom and here are our ideas for the HM so far.
1. 9 Day Norweigan Cruise Line cruise to the Southern Carribbean and it leaves out of Miami. It goes to Samana, DR; Tortola, Antigua, Barbados, and St. Lucia. We are at sea three days. If we did this one we would also stay in Miami for 2 days after.
2. 14 Day Norweigan Cruise Line cruise to the same ports as above, but also going to Grand Cayman and Cozumel
If we did the 9 day, we would get the suite, but if we did the 14 day we would do a balcony.
3 Costa Rica- Stays 7 days at the AI Paradisus hotel in the garden room.
4.Barbados- 7 days at the Hilton oceanview. This is not AI, but is pretty cheap enough as to where is evens out.
I keep changing my mind! FH isn't much help because he says it doesnt matter to him. He just doesnt want to be laying on a beach all day long. Thanks for all your opinions.
I'm personally leaning towards the 14 day cruise, cuz i feel its the most for out money.

i put costa rica bc i kinda want to go there lol...it seems beautiful and a ton of differnt things to do with the beaches and rain forest and everything

Thanks Jenise. When Tom mentioned Costa Rica I got excited, because that where I first suggested going to FH, and he shot me down. But when I told him things we could do that Tom said, he got interested in it.

I would do either one of the cruises. Norwegian is a nice cruiseline i hear. Ipicked the 9 day...because of the suite! LOL.

Thats what has me torn between the cruises. I'm really thinking about doing the suite on the 14 but thats going about 1000 over budget.

I LOVE cruises! FH and I did 3 cruises within our first year of dating... can you tell me which ships they are? how many tons? if it is more than 116,000 tons, then it is a newer ship and bigger, which means rooms are usually bigger.
If you've never done a cruise... DO IT

We are going to Costa Rica and i am so excited. But i think if you go, you should try to travel around the country some....each area has different things to see an do.

They are both the Norwegian Jewel. It was built in 2005 and is only 92,000 gross tons.

Oh that is actually a newer ship, Its big enough to have a FANTASTIC time, but I'm thinking after 10 days you will start to feel somewhat cramped.
I vote 9 day SUITE!

COSTA RICO HAS EVERYTHING THERE AND IS SO DIFFERENT I ALMOST WENT THERE FOR MY HM.

If you're still browsing ,
Look into Princess (our favorite) and Royal Carribean, Royal has a fleet of ships called the viking ships, 138, 000 tons or more, they have a mall inside ice skating rinks, rock climbing wall..
Browse, Freedom of the seas, it is the largest ship made and has a surfing machine on board, Im dying to cruise on it one day..
Norwegian was fun, but we were on an older ship..maybe if we did a balcony. Regardless what you chose, it will KICK ***

Hey Megan! I voted for Costa Rica!! I've heard great things about it and had a classmate who showed me pics from his trip a few years ago. Jungle pics and just beautiful landscape! He had an amazing time! AHhhhhhhh decisions!

I voted 14 day cruise.. Since well, you do get more for your money and you get to go to all these places in one shot!
However, what Gfield101 said, sounds interesting... Maybe check it out as well!

try the crown princess. Its a new ship, its first voyage out was may of 06. FH and i went on that and it is HUGE, its one of the biggest ships out there, not the biggest bc i think freedom of the seas is but its close. Its a beautiful ship and young crowd too. The ports are Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Turks and caicos, barbados.

the 14 day cruise sounds great too though. If a cruise sounds appealing to you then go for it. I never had a desire for cruises and i was so surprised how much I enjoyed it.

hey meg would you mind maybe FMing me some fo the hotels Tom told you about? I have to give him a call sometime this week to talk about the HM since we have to reschedule. We were going to go to St. Lucias Sandals but now that we are going in dec it is almost $2000-3000 more for what we were getting in sept. But Fh is no help either so lol
