Jones Beach, sunset, the only day in November it was 80 degrees last year.

DH took me to Battery Park because when 9/11 happened he ran for his life and ended up in Battery Park.

He got down on one knee and said this is where he thought his life was over and now this is where he wants the rest of his life to begin. It was so emotional and touching.

OMG! Your's is one of the best stories that I have heard!

Thank You, it was more emotional than 'romantic' but it was really touching, he really poured his heart out.

At The Bryant Park Hotel on the moring after Valentines day 2004. Were going back this year to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of being engaged!

In Florida at FH's grandparent's house. His grandma gave him her engagement ring diamond since 'it brought [them] so much happiness' so he decided to honor them by doing it there when we visited

new years eve in our apartment, we were not together that night, I was a BM at my friend's wedding, and he was a bartender who could not get off work..so I was totally pissy at this wedding, we had been together longer than any of our friends, and DH never even spoke of marriage..then I caught the bo-K, I went home that night, he still wasn't home, I was drunk..then he comes in with champagne and new years hats, and goes into another room, on the surround sound, a song, how forever feels, by kenny chesney starts playing..2 years before it came on the radio and I said what a great engagement song..DH remembered, had it playing..and came out and proposed..I was shocked

At FH's surprise 30th Birthday party!!!

His parents asked me to help plan his 30th surprise party..and here I am trying to keep this secret and not blow it..(cause I am the worst at keeping secrets)

So I here I am planning his party,,booked the lounge, booked the DJ, did the menu,sent out invitations..got favors!! EVERYTHING!!

NO ONE besides my parents and his knew that he was going to propose......so he acted surprise when we walked into the Lounge,,,and about an hour later he got on
the microphone and explained to everyone that he knew about this party all along and that RO planned her own surprise party!!!

Blah,blah,blah,,,got on his knee's and proprosed!!!!!!!

So then it turned into a Surprise 'We are Engaged' Party!!!

After a very romantic dinner for two, on a cruise ship in the middle of the Caribbean with 21 close friends on board. Before we got to the cruise he was caught going through the metal detector at the airport with the ring. The ring which he had put in his pocket (because he did not want to loose it and was not really sure what to do with it, he was nervous) made the machine's go off. I pretended to not see it and got really excited at that point knowing what was coming...LOL...

He originally wanted to do it on Halloween and dress up as prince charming and ring the door bell like a trick or treater. He got the ring on Oct 22 and could wait. He was busting...

He ended up proposing on our bed after we got home from work. He was late because he had to go out for 'drinks' with a client. Meanwhile he was coming home from the city with the ring. I didn't believe him. He came home and within 5 minutes of having it in the house he popped the question. I said 'ask my parents'. He did and the rest is history. I couldn't open the box though. I had a dream the night before that it was ugly and green! I made him open it. The ring was neither ugly or green!

This is the greatest post! It's so good to see so many happily in love girls!

He proposed in front on Cinderella's Castle in Disneyworld right before the parade, with hundreds of people yelling and clapping.
It's actually my pic up here! Just for fun, he added on Stitch, my favorite character and sent that pic out as our engagement announcements. What a cutie!

I was a complete surprise. We went to Florida for a long weekend after winning free hotel stay. So My DH planned the proposal around it.
He proposed after dinner at Victoria And Alberts. He had the whole wait staff in on it. OUr waitress snapped a picture of the moment he knelt down and proposed. It started with him ordering champagne, which at that point I thought the flight got him a little woozy b/c it was after dinner and he doesnt go nuts over champagne. Then the glasses they brought out had mickey and minnie etched on them dressed as bride and groom. Which I thought they just assumed we were newleyweds b/c the rest of the tables seemed to be filled with them. I didnt say anything thinking the waiter made a mistake instead he kept pointing them out to me. And then DH got down on one knee said beautiful things and pulled the ring box out. I was very surprised.
A lot of things fell into place after that looking back, at the days events. Poor DH our flight was delayed 3 hours. We barely made our reservation. My brother was waiting for us at the hotel with the ring.
The ring was shipped days earlier to my brother whose wife was suppose to be home to sign for but ditzo left and the box was missing for a couple of hours.
My parents dropped us off at the airport and my dad was so giddy and smiley.
Its fun to relive it. It was awesome.
