Where were you proposed to?

Ok, this will sound bad, but it isn't I swear. He proposed in the back of my parents jeep with the seats down!
I had been dying to go on a picnic and it was raining every weekend, so we drove to Astoria Park, put down the seats, laid out a blanket, and had lunch. As I was being bratty, complaining that I forgot to bring something to do after we ate - he pulled a box out of his blanket, and was like, I have something...LOL I should have known something was up when he agreed to a picnic in the rain.

All of your stories were great....

He proposed to me 3 days after my birthday. We were on vacation in florida and he had it all planned out. But as usual I messed all his plans up when I changed my mind on what parks I wanted to go to.

Originally he planned to ask me in cinderellas castle.

BUT......

I decided to go to sea world instead... Plans all gone... New plan was decided. I had so much fun playing with the dolphins that day he choose to ask me in front of the dolphin tank as we were leaving the park...

It was great he started a small fight with me because he was digging through my bag on my back as I was walking... Then he pulled me around said (as fireworks are going off) you are the best thing in my life I love you... will you spend the rest of your life with me ... Will you marry me ....

I screamed and cried for about 15minutes before I answered,..... People around us were clapping and saying congrats....

In a cottage in the Poconos...he surprised me by bringing pictures to put in a photoalbum which we had been neglecting to do. After we did that & organized the photos chronologically, I closed the album and set it down. He pulls me back and tells me there is one more picture I forgot to see.

In the back of the album was a picture of our heads superimpsed over another couples wedding pic.
He said somethings and the next thing I know he is telling me there is yet another picture.

He pulls that picture out and there is a picture of my ring.

We were watching the Jones Beach 4th of July fireworks by the rocks at the end of the beach in Point Lookout.

I enjoyed reading everyone's proposals.

Our proposal took place at my FH's house on 11/14/04. I walked in to a trail of hershey chocolate kisses turning the corner into the bathroom. I followed the trail and in the bathtub was yellow roses and rose petals with a sign that read ' I kissed the ground that you walked on and showered you with roses'. At this point I was crying and called out 'Where are you?' I hear music from the living room ( I Believe in You and Me) and when I walked in the living room he was on his knee holding a sign he made from my scrapbooking materials that read 'Christine I love you will you marry me?' He also has a son that was there with his own sign that read ' Christine I love you will you be my mom?' (My FH is a widow.)

I met my FH on the LIRR

No, we didn't meet on the LIRR...but we used to take it home together all the time...

He was planning on something more spectacular but he said that he just had to at that moment.

Christmas eve 2004....I was finishing up cooking to go to his sisters and started washing the dishes.... he snuck up behind me grabbed me twrilled me around got down on one knee and proposed.

This is how he planned:
On the exact date that it was our third year anniversary, he asked me to go out for dinner. We go out all the time for dinner so I didn’t think any of it. He asked me since it was our third year anniversary that we get all dressed up to make it more memorable. He took me to the same Italian restaurant where we had our first date where we had delicious food and wine. It was soo romantic and he was talking and planning for the future. I didn’t even think anything at that point. He had told me we were go into the city afterwards to Rockefeller Center for the Christmas Tree but it was bitter cold that night and it had snowed a few days before. Instead we went to the EAB plaza and walked around and took pictures. Then we went outside and in front of the Christmas Tree he gave me a card to read. I was really surprised because when I opened the card, he wrote a lot of stuff on it. He usually writes very little on any cards he gives me. But this one wasn’t. In it, he told me the most beautiful, romantic, and heartfelt things anyone hopes to hear from their loved one. As I was reading the cards, I had misty eyes from everything that I was reading and it didn’t even call my attention to the bottom of the card. At the end of the card, he had those magic words…”Will you marry me?” and when I look from the card to him, there he was..on one knee with ring on its case. I was in shock but very, very happy. We asked someone to take pictures of us. It was really very beautiful.

We took a weekend trip to the poconoes, and he proposed their on August 2nd, 2004.
