Captree State Park in West Islip on Valentine's Day 2001 on a very cold, cold winter. It was on a boardwalk overlooking Fire Island light house.

His home. Before taking me to dinner. In order to keep me from knowing he spent about 2 weeks just being wierd and not telling me stuff but at the same time just telling me enough to not have to lie and still keep it a secret. He confused me so much, I was not even sure if we were going to dinner! I arrived in normal cloths and he was all dressed up

haven't told this story in a while, so i will jump at the chance
i should start by saying that FI and i have this joke - when one of us gets mad at the other we threaten each other with a 'knucke sandwich'...
so he took me to the place where we had our first date, and we had a great dinner with some wine, and then the waitress asked us if we were interested in dessert. of course i said YES. so she brings us 1 menu, and the last item on it said 'knuckle sandwich: knuckles of rich chocolate covered with caramel'. so at that point i suspected something was up and i was so SHOCKED that i couldn't stop laughing! FI swore up and down that he had nothing to do with it... but of course, we ordered it. the waitress brought me a box on a dish, and i opened it expecting to find the ring. but it was actually a piece of paper folded really. really small. when i unfolded it i found a picture of his knuckle in between 2 pieces of bread with lettuce and tomato! LOL. Once we were done laughing over that, he told me to turn the picture over, where i found an amazing note that ended with 'will you marry me?'. he took the ring out of his pocket and the rest is history!!

Cinderella's Castle, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World. Right after Spectromagic (parade) right before Wishes (fireworks!)
In our bedroom after I got home from work, school and a car accident!! (i worked from 8-4;30, went to school from 6;30-10pm, and on my way home from school, some idiot was racing on the entrance ramp and hit my car!!) i was so pissed off and tired when i finally got home that he practically had to yell at me to get me to sit-when he finally asked me, i was hysterical! I was so happy!!

We got engaged on the same day! He proposed at Jones beach in the middle of the night (the cops were chasing people off the beach! and I yelled, 'we just got engaged!' and the cop yelled back, 'congratulations, but you really can't be on the beach!') How's that for romantic!?!?!?
