Jones Beach, sunset, the only day in November it was 80 degrees last year.

After a day at the wineries he suprised me with a hotel room on the water on the north fork. He was going to propose there on the beach but there was a guy nearby fishing and he wanted us to be alone... so he waited until we went back into the hotel room.

In the dining room after a wonderful meal prepared by my FH. He didn't have the ring yet (we were and still are poor grad students), but he had bought me roses and took just one out and handed it to me.

Atop the Empire State Building... He kept telling me to look at the magnifying things... so I did then I heard everyone start to say.. 'oh my god, he's proposing' so I turned around and he said I coulnd't wait till Christmas.. he said this long speech and then asked me to spend the rest of my life with me... It was the best moment of my life..

In the car on Triple Oak Road near Stony Brook! So perfect....never got down on one knee but it was just beauriful!

I had planned to ask danielle at a Park in Valley Stream. There is a spot where there is a Gazeebo and it is in front of the water....and it is really nice, but it rained that day...SO I had to switch to plan B.

I didnt know what plan B was going to be until about an hour and a half before I planned to ask her.

I bought 2 dozen red roses, and I went back to my house. I live on the second floor of my parents house.

I cleaned my living room up quickly, and my mom helped me. We put out candles all over the room and took one dozen of the roses, and put the petals all over the floor and on the furniture in the room.

I then got dressed in a black suit, and had my Dad answer the front door. I was down on one knee with the ring in the box waiting when I heard the doorbell ring. My dad answered the door and said I was upstairs....

Danielle opened the door upstairs and I was kneeling on the floor and I said come on in and close the door. She was shocked but she said she had an idea that I was going to ask her soon.

I couldnt tell you what I said, I know I had rehearsed what I planned to say, but I choked up during it and I lost some train of thought, but I ended up saying something really nice...Talking about how special she is too me and other stuff.....

It was actually really romantic...even though I did it in my apartment and it was raining outside. I forgot to mention I had Sarah's I love you playing in the background when she walked in.

On the rocks where the Sound and the Atlantic meet at Montauk Point lighthouse at sunrise with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier brut rose....

On Valentine's Day this year. In an RV in the middle of the woods in Los Padres Natl. Park in California. And we had no cell phone service there so we couldn't even call anyone to tell them!

On a Monday morning at my office. It was St. Patrick's Day.

I came in to rose petals all over the floor and my desk, and FH kneeling on one knee with a video camera running behind him. Everyone from my office was hiding in the conference room. It was perfect and we have the whole thing memoralized on DVD.

Most people would think the day and the location are wierd, but the location was because FH has trouble surprising me normally because I'm too intuitive, and the day is because he is Irish and my e-ring is a celtic knot design.

The only bad part was I had to stay at work that day -- not that I got anything done. But that night we had dinner at the Irish Coffee Pub to celebrate.

Crow's Nest in Montauk on Valentine's Day Weekend 2002 (Feb 16th to exact).

Mine was on the same day and it's my b-day. He took me to an italian restaurant in Smithtown called Venizia. After dinner when we were getting up to leave he proposed and everyone started clapping...it was the best.
