Went to dinner in Roslyn Heights @ L'Endroit April 10, 2004...He didn't want to do it there due to the fact that the restaurant was packed...So he pulled a typical him! Pulls in some school parking lot in Roslyn Heights & says he dropped his ring(i gave it to him about 4 months into the relationship) & he needed to find it...He was searching & searching the car...Then he pulls me out so he can look from my side...I was getting annoyed & he screams, I found something...I go to see what he has & he was done on one knee! I was crying! The best part is after all that he brings me back to his house to supposedly change...We get to his block & I notice all these cars...Everyone from his family & mine were there awaiting our arrival!

Our two year anniversary was 12/23 and we went back to NY to visit our family. He made reservations at Tavern on the Green for 12/26 so I was suspicious. So...I really didn't expect the desert cake on Christmas Eve to read 'Will you marry me' with a ring on top in front of my whole family!!

At the Plaza Hotel in a suite overlooking Central Park, earlier that night we had dinner at Le Bernardin.
The following day we drove down to PA to his parent's house for Easter weekend (my parents were spending the holiday there too and got there a few hours earlier). Only our Dads knew (my husband had told his dad and asked mine over dinner at Mortons). So we got to tell our Moms, his sister and my grandma all at once. Our dads were in the background popping open champagne as we told them! It was perfect!
It was 3/28/02 but feels like yesterday!

On Valentine's Day '04, in the Pocanoes just outside the Chatau resteraunt with the mountain in the background he got down on one knee and proposed.
In front of Cinderella's castle in The Magic Kingdom (DisneyWorld) July 18th 2001. I will never forget it.

At Colleran Park in Massapequa Park (near my parents house), on the beach over-looking the Great South Bay on a warm, windy day in February 2004. It is the place where we first kissed.
He got me to the park by way of a treasure map, clues and poetry. He fessed up to having created the props and the elaborate scheme as he dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him.
These are all such great stories! Thanks for sharing everyone!!!

Planting Fields Arboretum, @ our favorite place--the arches!! We are taking wedding pictures there too!! YEAH!! 10/20/02--GORGEOUS DAY OUT!!! he got on his knees, in the dirt and all, crying, it was sooo sweet. oh yeah, let's not forget my parents hiding in the bushes taking pictures of us! (with FH's permission) LOL

Jan 10, 2004 -- the coldest day of this year!
We were at the Lincoln Center fountain after having spent the ENTIRE day watching the LOTR trilogy at the theater there. He was proposing and I had my hands in my pockets trying like the dickens to get this other ring off my left hand without him seeing.
It was perfect though. FH is a chatty guy and to hear his voice all broken up and unable to speak will stay with me the rest of my life.
