in our apartment.....he bought the ring 12/20 and was going to propose on Christmas.....he held it in his pocket all day (we were at a party) then when we went home, I went to do laundry, and when I came back in, he had all the lights off with tons of lit candles. He was on one knee with the ring dazzling in the box. Too cute - he couldn't wait 5 days!

On June 29th 2002 at Smith's Point beach. It was two weeks before I was to have brain surgery to remove a brain tumor and to say the least I was very nervouse about what was going to be happening to me in the next couple of weeks and there after. To take my mind off of thing my FI took me to Smith's Point and suggested taking a walk to end the day and to try to relax. As we walked ( OK I am crying right now ) he began to tell me that no matter what happens that we will be together forever and that he will always love me forever no matter what happens. When I asked him how he knew this and how he could be so sure everything would be OK and that I would live he drop to one knee and said ' because Kelly our love, our life is like the ocean.. Long and beautiful and never ending' He then reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring and proposed. It was the best moment of my life and it may sound weird but in some ways it made me strong enough to face all of the events I was about to face at that time. God I love him

at Candela in manhattan, he weekend before valentine's day. he wanted to do it on v-day, but we were going away and his sister told him that i would want to come home (she was right!) so we got to go away the weekend after we got engaged and celebrate!

On our vacation in Aruba thefirst night we were there on the beach in the sand as the sunset it was beatiful !

In front of our fireplace in our old apartment... two days later he took me on a suprise engagement trip to Switzerland that he had been planning for months in advance... 10 days of the most incredible skiing of my life... he tells me he didn't wait to propose in Switzerland because he didn't want me to get a free trip to Europe if I said no... but I think it's because he couldn't wait any longer

Bethesda Fountain on the Lake in Central Park. It was so romantic and beautiful - perfect place for us.

In the atrium of the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World.... He surprised me (I didnt know he was there= thought I was going out with the girls) He had the piano player play my favorite classical piece, then snuck up behind me at the end of the song.... When I said 'Yes', he had the orchestra play 'It had to be you'. I had never felt so special and loved before!
(We live in Florida, so this was a sort of easy task!)

Sept. 03, 2003 my FH proposed to me in Little Italy. We were having expresso and pastries. It was raining, but I didn't care I was thrilled.

First, I love this tread!!! I'm such a sap, and got all teary-eyed reading them...lol
Nov 4, 2003 on Vacation in Arizona..
Back Story, the Friday before (we left sat morning to arizona) we had this long heart to heart and he asked me would I be upset if he wasn't ready to propose, I was expecting it at xmas..lol, so of course I said no honey.. i will wait, we will know when we are both ready...etc etc..
So fast foward to Tues nite, poolside in AZ, it was sooo cold.. Nov in the desert? lol So hunny says he has to go the bathroom and leaves me in the pool for like 20 mins.. by the time he comes back I was honey I want to get out..he was like oh no please stay, I was like I'm freezing...he then proceeds to splash me with water and I yell at him urgh!!! so i swim over to the side of the pool to wipe my face with the towel, I did a DOUBLE take!! and screamed..lol under the towel was this pretty blue box with my ring and he was like honey I love you with all my heart will you be my wife.. I was like YES! YES! YES!! and threw my arms around him.. almost drowned the poor boy...lol
