Which color for kitchen?

Original post by Sonicstef

Keep in mind that the kitchen is not finished so I just faked the backsplash and the granite (the stove will be in there too which has a black top) and there will be more molding, etc.. but you get the idea:

A red on the walls with copper paint on the ceilings:

A green on the walls with white on the ceiling:

Terracotta with a beigey coordinate on the ceiling:

A rusty orange with white:

Thanks cooky. Maybe its just my screen but I dont want a beige color. I dont want anything that looks white.
If I paint it a light color, Im going to just keep it white, you know?

I just dont appreciate subtly when it comes to wall paint

Im thinking of a color that is sort of like really tanned skin. I thought that was taupe but maybe im using the wrong word.

I still really like the orange and red too.

Im completely undecided as you can tell. ahahha

Understood, it is really a taupeish color but for some reason it is not coming close to the color on my wall with pictures and with scanning. Sorry. Ok let us know what you decided!! My DH has been working on my Kitchen finally again I might have new pictures to show soon. With the molding I had him do inlay wood around the countertops and the molding on top and it looks awesome

I just wanted to add that your kitchen looks great. We have the same stove and its great to cook with. I think you should see if you can stick to a color that will bring out the golds in the grainte and richness of the wood. Benjamin Moore has a color called Mystic Gold, its in the Historical section. I dont know what it looks like in person but it looks like a warm color and I think it would compliment everything very nicely

Probably something darker than that. I have that lighter color on my walls in my dining room and living room and Im not crazy about that prospect in the kitchen.

Im almost 100%sure I dont want yellow. I know its a very popular color now but Im really not a yellow person. Even if its more gold toned, i dont want to highlight the gold in the granite..i want to highlight the rust/red tone.

The burnt sienna color is what I had in mind. But I think my painter will supply the paint.

Im just not sure its going to be too much, you know?
