which laua to go to in Hawaii?

We only went to the Old Lahana Luau, in Lahana, Maui. It was very good, but DH was dissappointed because there were no fire dancers and he really wanted to see that. I think the other luau buy the same company (also in Lahana) has fire dancers in that show - but it is a lot more expensive ((like 2x the price).

The food was good and they are great about the drinks.

I will say, if you are staying at some of the hotels on Kauai and Maui, on certain evenings, they have for free, short hula skits, and at dusk every night, they blow conch shells and light the fire path ways. If you are not so keen on that. After the 8th night the shell blowing got a bit old, then the luau might not be for you.
On the other hand, we found that there was not much of a night life - and so, if you are one who likes a party - night life atmosphere you might like the luau a lot.

We went to the Old Lahaina Luau in Maui. It was great, we had conventional seating (mats & cushions) right up front. We had the best view!

Kauai we did it at Princeville Hotel and it was one of the best! the view alone!!

I made my reservations for this 3 months in advance and we sat all the way on the side!!!
