Which PS2 or X Box

i want to get DH a PS2 for
but which is better, has more games ,graphics etc & if you can share pls say why so i can get my 101 on video games

do you know if he would like to play online againast other ppl around the world?

if yes, then proceed to xbox.
ps2 is fun in all but i dont spend much time on it as of late. ps2 (sony) has a lot of third party companies signed that dont' make games for xbox (rpg's, action) xbox is pretty much a computer in a fancy box. technically, xbox is better.

i plan on getting the new one in nov (hopefully)

TY MD - DH does not play other gaamers -he is a self gamer ie when i am on LIW -he is playing games he sayd PS2 has more games to buy - what abt xbox -is there a good varity of games?

Ding Ding Ding! The X-BOX.

Now here is where the problem arises...

PS2 is great for playing by yourself or with others in your home

XBOX is GREAT for playing online with gamers across the world.

But be careful, the XBOX has become the SEX BOX in my home because it is the other woman in my relationship!!!!
DH stays up all night long playing every game under the sun from Halo to Madden 2006!!!

...Proceed with caution when buying games for DH!!!!!

and i thought that i was the only one.
FH has the luck to work from home at times so there have been times that when i am going to bed he will say 'ok, i will play one more round and come to bed' only to find when i get up in the morning, he is still playing!!!!!
he has xbox and PS2 and wants the new ones when they come out 9xbox is suppose to be having a new one next year i think)
If he gets anymore i think i will loose him forever!!!!! (or atleast until he runs out of games to paly)

omg my husband is obsessed with xbox & PS2. although as of late, he hasn't played either. i guess with all the nice weather, we've been doing stuff...not sitting home....once a new game comes out that he wants, i'm sure it'll start all over again. he likes xbox so he can play HALO 2 against everyone....ps2 is good for racing games.....

on our honeymoon he had his friend's leaving him voicemails about HALO 2 since it came out while we were away on our honeymoon!

My husband has always favored the PlayStation.....but recently decided he wants an XBOx.....
so I don't think you can go wrong with either one!
and i believe the gaming systems all have some games in common....so it all depends on the types of games he likes to play.

My DH has already put $100 deposit down do he gets first dibs on the 360 in November!!!! And I was told that if I walk past it, I have to bow! He's OBSESSED!!!! At least I get the old XBOX so I can play the one and only game that I like! Tiger Woods Golf!

good point MC - but i am thinking since DH does not play globaly -the variety of games on PS2 would be good.......no???

DH is a true GAMER, has both, but has since traded in the PS2. The PS2, although it's been out awhile, is still having manufacturing/performance issues.

PS2 DOES have a greater range of games, but XBOX has better graphics and game play all around. XBOX is geared more for adults, has a hardrive in which you can save your own music to listen to during play, and has better online play.

PS2 online never really took off.

BUT...you might want to hold off for the NEW xbox which is coming out in Nov. It's supposed to be totally amazing, comes with XBOX online account, and WIRELESS CONTROLLERS straight from the box!!!

TY BG - DH is in OCt -so i have to decide this is SOOO NOT MY AREA

my FH and most of his friends swear by ps2. he has played his friends xbox and doesnt really care for it. fh plays socom with people from around the country, and all of his friends , and they have a blast!

most companies will release games on both systems. ps2 is been around the block and back and thats why they have more of a selection. ps2 will give you more depending on the games he enjoys... RPGS's mainly is a huge difference.
