Re: Who are you using for your ceremony music?
Try Island Classical Ensembles, owner Jordan Vogel. We used them for pre-ceremony, ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding in April at the Harrison House. We had a violin, cello and flute. They looked (very elegant) and sounded wonderful. They played very well and at a volume that could be heard (important: don't want them to be drowned out by all your guests) I don't have their number with me but you can prob. get it from Long Island information. Good luck.
We are using Encore Music (advertise on this site).. Patricia has been nothing but nice and professional so far...I will update you guys in 2 1/2 weeks

We are also using the Royal Brass for parts of our mass, and friends are doing the other parts.

If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for the violins?

Re: Who are you using for your ceremony music?
We hired a band, Milestone Music. Dotty, the band leader is great. We are paying $4300- which includes 7 or 8 pieces (sorry I forget) for 4 hours and a 2 piece jazz band for the cocktail hour.
There are many different types of weddings and the music can reflect the mood that you want to set. We felt a band was better for us. But I have been to some great DJ weddings too. It all depends on your budget and again, what tone you want to set.
