it goes unnoticed, who knows start a thread on that, I would like to know too. There are only a few who is on here all day so we must all be in the same business.

I am fortunate that I need internet access to do book research, but my boss has see me online a few times and I have had to think of things to say (needed a phone number, researching something, taking a 'smoke break')

The only reason I get to post during the day is because I worl the graveyard shift! Ane believe me, there are times I don't get to pee all night! That's why nurses recently have UTI's

I work in an office of 3 people- I do sales- most of the time while I'm on hold with a vendor or with a clien, I'm on LIW too!

My work is very cyclical by days and weeks. Past few months have been slow... But when its busy, its busy... Don't expect me to post next two days at daytime, I'll be traveling for the job (not the fun kind of travel)

I come on here on my preps. Now I can come on a little more. We are going to be testing this week. It is the Regents Exams, so I have to proctor my kids

I feel underpaid. I work in Marketing and am responsible for helping my company win projects. I put in lots of hours, and never complain when I do grunt work (like order supplies or refill the printing machines with paper - cause God Forbid someone else does it!). That's why I get in on time, and leave at 5pm. Every day. Unless of course I have a deadline I need to meet, but I usually end up making enough time during the day to get everything done.

I'm a teacher - so of course we are underpaid for what we do. But I cannot complain, because I knew salary stats before I went into the field. So if I wanted more money, I should have gotten a different job!

Now, my 'pay' is hugs and kisses, and I am more than rewarded for being a mommy and wife

When I was in the 'working world', I always made sure I was making 'competitive pay' and I changed jobs if there was something better. Each time I changed jobs (twice) I made a considerable amount more, due to the more experience and skills I was able to add to my resume. In less than 3 years I doubled my salary. I cant really imagine having stayed anywhere knowing that there is more advancement offered elsewhere. I wasnt only looking for more money, but more challenge, more resonsibility, and with each job, thats what I looked for and made sure to get.

When I teach in a few years, I feel that the pay offered on LI is very decent for teachers, and now that i'm a mom, I factor in 'lifestyle' and being able to enjoy my home and my family, without hours of commuting, makes 'very decent' pay more than enough to make me happy.

I think Teachers should get a comission if someone they once taught catches a break in life and becomes FAMOUS!

Multitasking is my solution to everything. I can be on the phone, reading e-mails and responding while surfing the web. I learned to pick this up rather quickly. I also know that when I have a deadline, it's a deadline. There is no messing around with that. My job consists of deadlines. So if I was to miss one, I don't want to even imagine what could happen.
