Re: Who has looked into Flowers?
Depends on what you want overall, the types of flowers, high cp's or low cp's.. and number of tables. i would budget anywhere between 1500 to 3500.
I visited: Perfect Wedding planner florist Flower Michele Flowers by Burton Flower Barn
i booked w/ Flower Barn

Re: Who has looked into Flowers?
this is gonna be long... lol i dont like looking at the flowers at bridal shows because most of the centerpieces on display are WAYYY over a normal budget.
i picked my florist by my sisters experience with her. throughout the planning she was wonderful, did exactly what my sister asked for. and on the day of her wedding the flowers were more beautiful that any of us could have imagined. and the price was right too..
sometimes you just gotta go with what you know and trust. i havent actually met with her to talk price and design but im so confident in her that i dont need to look elsewhere...

*if the size of the BOK matters to you make sure you ask how many roses/whatever they but in the bridal BOK.. a lot of the florists give you a price for a smaller BOK.

i heard that too but with this economy i would consider sticking with the larger wedding florists. you never know, unfortunately some may go out of business within 2 years... im sure this is that case with every business but i just get nervous..

Re: Who has looked into Flowers?
My sister had a large bridal party (10) bridesmaids and about 20 tables of people...her flowers from Pedastals came to $5,000 -- 2 years ago. I really think the price can be VERY varied depending on what you want.

Re: Who has looked into Flowers?
Flowers are the last thing next to limos I will look into. I really am not into flowers and refuse to spend crazy money on them. My flower budget is $1,500 tops. I'm going to check some local florist near my RH.

Re: Who has looked into Flowers?
i have only looked up ideas on-line. when ever i walk into a flower shop my allergies go crazy since there are som many different things in one place. i am going to put off flowers for a bit. i am using the florist my brother used for his wedding in 2001. his centerpiece was a fish bowl with a fish in it & a plant. my mom still has the plant in her house & it looks like it was purchased yesterday. i prob will call him to make sure he can hold the date for me.

Re: Who has looked into Flowers?
I am getting orchids, cala lilies, hyrdrandas and 3 diff types of red roses. In my contract, I get church flowers, my bo-k, moh bo-k, 3 bridesmaid, flowergirl, 5 corages, 10 boutineeres, 14 tables centerpieces (half high, half low), cake flowers, cocktail flowers, table card centerpiece, and I think thats it.
I went with PWP Florist, I felt really comfortable with Richard plus he is on sight. And I got to see my samples BEFORE I signed. Keyth at Lovin Oven is amazing as well. He was very sweet and had a lot of creative ideas. Pedestals, I met with Vito, I lthought they were nice.
Hope this helps!
By the way Kim - I know your a Commack girl, that's where I grew up and I heard Commack Florist is a wholesaler and you can get good deals from them.
