that's funny you said that b/c when I was student teaching in the hs I taught 9th, 10th and 11th and I found 9th to be my least favorite too

LOL I'd do ANYTHING to not have to teach them again. Even though teaching Romeo and Juliet and Of Mice and Men CAN be fun, I'd rather avoid the crazies than teach something fun lol

I hear ya...I had to teach The Chocolate War to my 7th graders this year...b/c they are at that immature stage...it was crazy. If you are familiar with that book you prob know it is a bit inappropriate at times...not looking forward to that again

I hear ya. Teaching them what 'stirrings' are from The Giver by Lois Lowry (have you read it) was really interesting. Stirrings, in case you don't know, is arousal.....

that is very funny...I have never heard of 'stirrings'...but I could only imagine that it was incredibly awkward to explain

Re: Who here is in Grad school?
I am in grad school at Adelphi. I think I will be done in May 2009 but I am not sure. I am taking 1 credit in Spring 08 because I don't want to really take anything the month I am getting married so I thought a 1 credit course would be enough. I am not overloading myself in grad school because I did in my 2 year school and undergrad. I am taking my time now but I think I should be done May 2009.

Re: Who here is in Grad school?
uhhhh I am finishing my last class at George Mason in Fairfax, VA on Thursday. Yes, I only have to more classes!!!!! Wahoo. Then I will have my mater's in early childhood education.
I am additionally working on my GT (Gifted and Talented)endorsement which is 12 credits. Right now I am taking my first class. I am going to go slow though. My school district will only pay for one class a year.
