This is New York... I'll bet it ends up mostly Kerry.. what do you expect?
I take all I hear here with a grain of salt and realize if I went elsewhere I'd hear a different tone. It's kinda bias some of the stuff said though.
I wish they had a separate board for politics..

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
The way I see it is Kerry is doing all of his speeches now. Bush hasnt had a chance to talk yet. I think people should hear both sides before they decide who they will vote for.

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
Voting in NY is usually a moot point cause its definitely going to be Kerry winning. There will be the same number of electors voting for NY so it doesn't matter if Kerry wins by 10,000 votes or 1,000,000 votes.
But as far as who to vote for... definitlely Bush. He hooked me up with a NICE tax break that Kerry wants to take away.

IMO they both are gonna screw up the country in one way or another... it's just a matter of choosing who you feel is the lesser of the two evils.

I am interesting in seeing what Bush is going to say in his speech. I don't think it will change my mind, but I'm curious what he will say.

nope, DEFINITELY won't change my mind. I already know where he stands, and its not what i'm for. Doesn't mean i think Kerry will save the world, but like you said- 'lesser of two evils' in my mind.

I'm with you, Tracy. I've heard quite enough from G.W. Bush already. I don't want to hear more of the same.

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
Im a Bush supporter.
I disagree with Bush on a lot of things, but I like at least KNOWING that I disagree with him. With Kerry he just says whatever is most popular and that bothers me.
Oh and the 'I have three purple hearts' (but protested the war and faked tossing my medals, because they were really someone else's, because I was just expressing my freedom of speech and opinion, but now I want you know Im a hero ......)
The fact he wont release the footage from the event where the mudslinging proves he supports anything to get his win. At least PRETEND to fight fair! If you say in your speech you think this fundraiser speaks on behalf of the American people, why are you afraid to air it?
...
whatever.. im in a minoirty on this *shrug*
ETA: I was working and writing.. realize vs release,
footable vs footage

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
i personally can't stand to hear Bush speak, becuase his speech pattern irritates me to no end.....so i probably won't listen to his speech.
i'm not crazy about Bsuh, and I happen to agree with a lot of the things Kerry stands for, so I'm most likey going with Kerry.
I didn't vote for Bush the first time around, so it wouldn't make sense for me to do it now

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
Honestly, i don't think i can EVER vote for a republican. There are too many issues that they have been known to stand behind (abortion, gun control, money for the rich people , etc) that i just can't vote for. Unless they change their stances, i'll always vote Democrat (or another party if i like them).
what do you expect from the daughter of a protesting hippy liberal minister.

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
Bush has been in office, so of course its going to be easy for Kerry to critcize all the decisions he made in the last 4 years.
Im not really a fan of Kerry, he hasnt really WOWED me to say that he is going to be a great President. But, in my opinion you win elections by proving that you are the better candidate and discussing the issues at hand. You dont have a demonstration with comedians like Whoopi Goldberg and celebrities making fun of Bush.

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
Maybe this is cynical of me but I feel like all politicians are corrupt and so it just doesn't matter. Every candidate gives speeches and says X, Y, and Z and the people go RAH RAH and then they get elected and nothing they promised happens. I feel like the President is just a figurehead anyway and it's really all the advisors that make all the decisions. I hate politics!

thats true. they can make all the promises that they want, tell us they'll pass this law and that... but they can't do it on their own. They don't really hold all the power.

To me personally it doesn't matter who you vote for. All poliiticians are liars that will tell you exactly what you want to hear to get your vote.
I will say this though Mrs. Kerry is one nasty looking woman and if she doesn't keep that big obnoxious mouth of hers shut, she can hurt her husband's campaign. To me she does not have that classy look that a first lady should have. Laura Bush does. I think she is one of the most classiest looking first ladies.

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?
Yes, Bush has had four years in office( Four years too long IMO). Kerry has been in the Senate for a long time so there is alot of info on his service. Yes, he has changed his mind, but I am really guilty of that too.
Kerry did protest the war, but he fought in it . That to me gives him more right to protest it IMO. He saw first hand what was going on in Vietnam. He knows the true horrors of war . Not just by watching it on TV or reading about it in the papers but by putting his life on the line. He earned his right to speak out about the war.
Bush is a President that has an agenda that I just can't get behind. I do not agree with taking from the poor and middle class and giving to the rich. I do not believe in leading this country into a war by lying. I do not believe that the religious right should get any of my tax dollars. I do not believe in trying to pass amendments that deny people certain rights. Basically, I do not believe in George W. Bush.

Hmm I think Mrs Heinz Kerry looks classy... But I wouldn't choose anyway based on what the First Lady looks like...

The way I see it.. Bush has had 3 1/2 years to talk- and I haven't liked anything he had to say, and I VOTED for him...
