Voting in NY is usually a moot point cause its definitely going to be Kerry winning. There will be the same number of electors voting for NY so it doesn't matter if Kerry wins by 10,000 votes or 1,000,000 votes.

But as far as who to vote for... definitlely Bush. He hooked me up with a NICE tax break that Kerry wants to take away.

If you make over 200k a year, I think your tax break SHOULD be taken away.. sorry dude... I think it's more important to use that money to maintain social security, medicare, and federal funding of schools.

i personally can't stand to hear Bush speak, becuase his speech pattern irritates me to no end.....so i probably won't listen to his speech.

i'm not crazy about Bsuh, and I happen to agree with a lot of the things Kerry stands for, so I'm most likey going with Kerry.

I didn't vote for Bush the first time around, so it wouldn't make sense for me to do it now

LOVE IT!!!!!!

I agree he is a terrible speaker and you can tell that someone else writes his speeches...

Kerry on the other hand is said to have written his own !!!

IMO they both are gonna screw up the country in one way or another... it's just a matter of choosing who you feel is the lesser of the two evils.

I really have no clue who I will vote for....it is a really tough decision because I don't like either of them

The way I see it is Kerry is doing all of his speeches now. Bush hasnt had a chance to talk yet. I think people should hear both sides before they decide who they will vote for.

The way I see it.. Bush has had 3 1/2 years to talk- and I haven't liked anything he had to say, and I VOTED for him...

you voted for him? didn't see that one coming...

You girls have said all i wanted to say. While I said I want to hear what Bush has to say, I don't think tax breaks are a fair trade for the errosion of our rights.

Yes, Bush has had four years in office( Four years too long IMO). Kerry has been in the Senate for a long time so there is alot of info on his service. Yes, he has changed his mind, but I am really guilty of that too.

Kerry did protest the war, but he fought in it . That to me gives him more right to protest it IMO. He saw first hand what was going on in Vietnam. He knows the true horrors of war . Not just by watching it on TV or reading about it in the papers but by putting his life on the line. He earned his right to speak out about the war.

Bush is a President that has an agenda that I just can't get behind. I do not agree with taking from the poor and middle class and giving to the rich. I do not believe in leading this country into a war by lying. I do not believe that the religious right should get any of my tax dollars. I do not believe in trying to pass amendments that deny people certain rights. Basically, I do not believe in George W. Bush.

I LOVE IT! Could not have said it better myself!

I know..

That's why I don't affiliate myself with any political party- I pick who the best candidate is- and I thought (and thought wrong) that Bush was a better choice than Bore, I mean Gore.

I would agree with that only IF that money ACTUALLY went to SS, medicare and schools. And we can't be assured of that unfortunately. They may end up going towards something you don't believe in, and that scares me. That's one of my biggest gripes about taxes - I don't mind paying them but I feel I should have a say in where my taxes go!

Here is something I think you all might enjoy!!

Bush Vs. Kerry

Re: Who is Everyone voting for?

you do say where your taxes go- by putting people in office who you believe in- which is why every election is important, not just the presidential elections.

But basically- we all know what Bush wants to do- lower taxes and increase spending... not to mention the 'trickle down' economic policy- you think the republicans would learn that trickle down has never and will never be successful...

Bush has been in office, so of course its going to be easy for Kerry to critcize all the decisions he made in the last 4 years.

Im not really a fan of Kerry, he hasnt really WOWED me to say that he is going to be a great President. But, in my opinion you win elections by proving that you are the better candidate and discussing the issues at hand. You dont have a demonstration with comedians like Whoopi Goldberg and celebrities making fun of Bush.

That's exactly why it's driving me so crazy to see that Bush and his team have had very little to offer campaign-wise except for negativity. fear-mongering, and criticisms of Democrats.

The tax breaks started for those making over 75k a year I believe. I know my tax bracket dropped from 28% to 25% I think... or something along those lines.

To me personally it doesn't matter who you vote for. All poliiticians are liars that will tell you exactly what you want to hear to get your vote.

I will say this though Mrs. Kerry is one nasty looking woman and if she doesn't keep that big obnoxious mouth of hers shut, she can hurt her husband's campaign. To me she does not have that classy look that a first lady should have. Laura Bush does. I think she is one of the most classiest looking first ladies.

I would hope that it doesn't really matter much what the first lady looks like. It's OK for a joke to talk about what politicians and their significant others look like, but does it really matter, politically speaking?

It's been definitively shown that Cheney has a much more obnoxious mouth than T.H. Kerry does. The VP's speaking ability matters more than the first lady's does... doesn't it?

True but LI is the most conservative part of NY and oftentimes the Republican candidate does better than the Democratic one here.

Me too, for many many reasons. We dont' need any 'help on the way' thankyouverymuch.

I wish I made that much. It kinda stinks that both my DH and I work fulltime, are upstanding citizens, homeowners etc. and still are not deserving of a tax break.

the why are you worried? Kerry specifically said he is rolling back the tax cuts for those making over 200k.. if you aren't making over 200k your cuts won't be rolled back.

Although if you live in NYC you really arent' saving so much money- because due to decrease in fed'l aid, NYC tax has increased.
