I plan to give myself to FH and walk down the aisle without anyone. I do not speak to my parents and they wont be invited to my wedding.
Just wondering what everyone else is doing.

My dad and I haven't spoken in many years either, so my grandfather is giving me away. Is that an option? Gives you someone to dance with too, tho coming up with a song to dance to with him has been a challenge.
P.S. I don't think having 'mom and dad' walk you down the isle is anything to be jealous of... that just seems crowded to me!!

i'm sorry to hear about your family. i don't know if this would cheer you up, but you could always have it the opposite way... this one wedding i went to there were three dads! in all of the speaches they said that they were just happy that she wasn't pregnant (and that's the reason that she got married so fast)... i felt like i was in a movie!!

I would like to do both bc they have both sacrificed so much for me... but i wouldnt want dad to feel bad...so I dont know we'll see.

My Daddy. I know it's going to be very emotional for the both of us. I am your typical Daddy's little girl. I am the only girl and the youngest and I still live @ home w/my parents. My dad is so happy about the wedding, he is always talking to the family as to how happy is he for me.

I am going down the aisle with my daddy and my mom! I would feel as if I were leaving her out if she did not walk me down the aisle as well!

I want my brothers too, I have 2, and we are all very close. My parents will be there, but I like the idea of my brothers walking me down. They will also be groomsmen as well. We will see, I don't want to hurt my dad's feelings.

I'm not super close with my dad. I would really prefer to have both of my parents 'walk' me down the aisle, but, my mother has MS and she's in a wheelchair and she's vehemently against the idea. She doesn't want anyone staring at her. *sigh*

Its sad that ur family wont be there and that they have treated you this way. But look at the bright side your marrying an amazing man that will stand by you threw thick and thin. and if your familt cant except that than ur better off without them. I havent decided if i will have both parents walk me down or just my dad.

I was going to have just my Step Father walk me down because I think my mother is going to be a wreck that day. But I really want her to do it.....so I'll probably have both of them....

Walked alone. I kinda liked it better. My compromise is that I met both parents at end of isle and kissed them before I met my DH!
