Re: Who is going to miss their last name?
Since the Town of Hempstead has not received my marriage license from my church ( I was married March 30) and I have no official proof that I am married...I will miss my last name but am anxiously awaiting changing it!

Re: Who is going to miss their last name?
I am going to miss me last name! All through out school all teachers and now that I even think about it even at work people call me by my last name. It is one of those last names that are unique and fun. There aren't too many people who have a fun last name like mine. However I can't wait to take my FH last name too! You can't have your cake and eat too. And no I don't like the two last name thing at all.

Re: Who is going to miss their last name?
I am keeping mine, for legal things it will be hyphenated, but in my career I will always be Miss Rojas

Re: Who is going to miss their last name?
No I don't miss it. I however do miss the fact that it was very short and it was in the beginning of the alphabet. It was also easy to pronounce. Now after changing it, it's now in the middle of the alphabet. A lot of people ask 'how do you pronounce it?'

Re: Who is going to miss their last name?
I think I'll miss mine for awhile. I'm actually moving it to the middle name spot, so I will have two middle names. On all papers and socially I will be Mrs. xxxxxxx, but legally I will be Karen Elizabeth Mylastname Hislastname. That way at least my heritage is preserved legally and historically. Otherwise there is nothing to indicate where I came from. I also won't feel like I 'gave up' my name. I just bumped it back a notch.

Cant wait to change it. I move up in the alphabet, i wont get maid fun of, it wont be mispelled all different crazy ways and people wont have a hard time pronouncing it.

I kind of am. I am going from an 11 letter Polish name to a 7 letter Canadian French name. The Polish name is a conversation opener wherever you go.
