FH and I are paying for the wedding with a little help from our parents, but mostly on our own. i can't believe how expensive weddings can be! i was wondering how everyone else was paying for all the costs

We are almost completly on our own with this. My mom paid for my dress and his mom is paying for the favors. Everything else is on us and we dont use our credit cards at all!! FH dosent even let me take them with me when we go to vendors... if we dont have the cash we dont book

My parents are contributing some, as much as they can. Him and I are taking care of the rest!!! No more shopping for me!!!

Well my parents are paying for the reception hall, which is the most expensive part.... and FH and I are paying for everything else, which is almost equal to the hall.
Oh and my parents are paying for my dress.
and FH's father will give 5k to my parents for some assistance....

I chose the alone option because FH and I are paying for our wedding...
My mom is paying for my shower and my dress and accessories...His family is paying for our rehearsal dinner...We're also getting nice gifts (furniture) from each set of parents too...

We are paying for the reception and all the other things that my parents are not paying for, my parents paid for the invitations, videographer, photographer, DJ, my dress and flowers and FILs are paying for the RD.

My parents: reception, my dress and accesories, invitations- and they threw us an e-party His parents: band, photo/video, casual RD Us: flowers, favors, officiants and all other little things

my parents- limo's, favors, some $$$ towards the hall, my hair and make-up
fh parents- rehersal dinner, some money for the hall.
my aunt- flowers
me and fh- everything else.

Mostly my parents & I. FIL's are paying for honeymoon & rehersal dinner, and FH & I are spliting things like DJ, Photo & Limos

My parents are paying for the reception hall and as a gift, my mom is paying for the photographer. His parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner. Other than that, we are paying for everything else. My shopping days are OVER!!!!

Ours is a little complicated because we have to have 2 receptions... one in NY and one in Israel... my parents are paying for the bulk of the NY wedding, but we are paying for the centerpieces, favors, DJ, honeymoon... FH's mom is paying for the reception in Israel... I feel guilty as can be, but we really can't contribute much more because we just bought a house...

We're so lucky - all three parents (my mom, FH's dad and FH's mom, they're divorced) are all chipping in and being generous almost to a fault. FH's dad's contribution is pretty much footing the bill for the reception and our moms are contributing enough to cover the rest. FH and I are handling our rings, honeymoon, gifts, our clothes (my dress, accessories, his tux, etc) and possibly the RD, depending on how well we budget for everything else.

We are paying for everything! My father gave us alittle bit of $$, otherwise it is cash all the way, except the photog will be charged.
My shopping days are over (but why was I at Daffys at lunch today??)

FH and I are paying for the entire thing - including my dress. We are the opposite - NO CASH upfront - everything is by credit card or check if absolutely necessary. FH is very good about saving and we have no credit card debt between us so it's not an issue for us. We have a long engagement to spread out the burden of these expenses but it still hurts.
ETS: Just wanted to clear up that we are not dumping everything on the credit card and paying later - we still pay as we go and while it makes it hard - we want to avoid any debt with this wedding.
