Curious...
Who paid or is paying for your shower??

My friend is in another wedding and is bugging out cause the MOB is making the 4 girls pay for the entire shower!! Is that crazy?

my momma is paying for it, i'm sure my maid & matron of honor are also pitching in with things but the venue is on my mom...

& that's ridiculous no mom should 'make' the girls pay, if they offer great but to force that upon someone is too much

a lot of wedding customs say that the family of the bride is not supposed to pay- its an etiquette thing- but anyhow, they are catering it at my aunt's house- so my mom is paying for the food and I think my sister is paying for most of the rest and maybe the bms are kicking a little in (like what they would have given as a gift)

My sisters (MOH's) and my mother are paying - it is actually supposed to be the bridal party that does pay...

My mom is paying for everything expect the invites and favors which are paid by my FMIL. I googled it and read that if the bridal party is paying for it, it should be small and in a house?
This girls mom wants the shower at a place in Westchester, and inviting 60 people! Isn't that a bit much to ask of them?

I think this will be the same story for me - I only have one BM, my sister, so I think they will be paying for it. My FMIL might chip in a bit, not sure since she is in FL and she and my mom only met once. I could see her offering though, she's like that.
