I don't want to push any buttons and I don't want any drama. So, if this topic offends you...ignore it. Thanks I'm just curious to see. I live in FL and it seems NY weddings are costing you ladies a fortune. So, just out of curiosity I'm interested to see who's paying for it.

My parents are splitting the reception cost, and FH and I are taking care of the rest.
We were prepared to pay for everything, but then my parents offered to help. I feel bad asking people for financial help in general, even if it's traditional.

it's mostly likely gonna be all us. i know my parents will help out however they can, but they don't relaly have the cash to spare. fils, however have a lot to spare, but are a little possesive of it, so we'll see about that. well, i guess not all of them are. dad's cheap but nice, mom's possesive, and ex-stepdad's a little clueless about etiquette, but like i said, we'll see.

Well, FH and I are paying for as much as we can before going to my parents. They told me when we got engaged they have X amount of money for the wedding....but we want to pay as much as we can.

Mostly FH and I-My parents told us to save for the whole day and then they would surprise us with $$$. My parents are divorced and are giving separate amounts.
FH is paying for rings, honeymoon, licence, and tux. I am paying for the rest. I think I may go over budget by 2k but right now it looks like 13-15K. Let me know if you need the scoop on any vendors, favors, dress places...anything!
